  1. if the tigers are going to make a move and salvage something out of this season, this is the period to get it done. 12 road games, all against the division including 4 against the royals. if youre going to make a move, it has to be now. i dont think it will happen, but if it has any hope of happening...
  2. buffalo has 9/16/28 and may be ready to make a more "win now" move. would you move bertuzzi for any of those picks?
  3. that's another tough finish.
  4. a conditional 5th! browns gonna brown.
  5. i'd be happy with savoie. honestly, given their recent track record, i'd be happy with whomever they pick because i trust them. among the realistic possibilities (assuming jarlovsky, wright, cooley, jiricik, nemec) are all gone, i want gautier, savoie, kemell, nazar. out of the box pick: lian bischell. for some reason he reminds me of seider: big, good skater, pkus defender who was said to have limited offensive ability. not necessarily at 8, but maybe later. yes, we are now loaded with those guys on defense, but maybe he's a guy we trade back into round one to get.
  6. the people who always chant about "personal responsibility" when black people are involved are now the first people to bring up "social conditions" when white kids are doing it.
  7. we all know how hard it is to find a quality nhl center. those guys dont get traded often for a reason: its a hard position to fill. larkin isnt jack eichel, but he's still very good and a borderline all star AND he's a captain. if he's going to get traded its for an eichel-like haul. honestly, its why i wouldnt trade him. unless his contract demand is Taveras-like and/or stevie really thinks the team will have no shot until larkin is 35.
  8. i bet gautier goes top 5. all this is good news that one of the top players may fall to 8. one of the two top defensemen would be nice: nemec or jiricic.
  9. rossi would be the starting point for the conversation that would involve multiple prospects and at least their first round pick next year.
  10. knowing illinois, its part bureaucratic incompetence and part poorly written laws. regardless, its the same old song and dance whenever something like this happens. "well, if only we had known he was dangerous we never would have allowed him to have a gun." sure. funny how it always seems to happen that way.
  11. https://www.ispfsb.com/Public/Firearms/AppealOptions.aspx here's a list of revocation reasons.
  12. that's a good question. i dont know the answer.
  13. i think he signs a new deal here.
  14. chet. ballin.
  15. if the tigers had a 25 year old outfielder who hit 320/404/577, you'd all be going bananas right now. higgy was pretty good for a number of years for some pretty bad teams. we all remember "you try and trade em", but he was a good player for awhile.
  16. i dont think its good or bad, its just different.
  17. his death had nothing to do with his brain. it was a separate seizure issue.
  18. oregon and washington would be dumb to take that deal. wait for the big ten. or sign some easy to break agreement for when the big ten finally hears from notre dame.
  19. btw, i dont think cossa is anywhere close to detroit. he's still a giraffe om skates out there. he needs another year in juniors before the ahl, and then will likely be in the ahl for at least another year. maybe two.
  20. its smart business not to spend now on long term deals, but its still a little disappointing.
  21. what's the bright spots in the minors this year? wenceel, carpenter. anyone else? is parker a bright spot? some of the pitchers?
  22. lol. you can use my name and dont have to refer to me as "the people." i prefer "emperor" if you must use a title.
