no grossman today, so we'll surely see a better leadoff hitter and more runs.

who would be a better leadoff hitter right now? everyone on this team has been terrible, grossman included. they started off very poorly last year and improved, the same will likely happen this year. given their injuries, maybe not. but i assume grossman, candy, baez, schoop, will all get better as the season goes on.

grossman takes a lot of pitches and historically got on base at a decent clip. for this team he is the natural person to batting leadoff.

steady growth from tork is one of the most important things to see this year. hopefully schoop gets hot so they can deal him.

would you look at that, steve kerr had something to say about the shooting in texas. phew. i was beginning to worry i would never hear from steve kerr on big social issues of the day ever again after his disappearing act on the whole china/uighur thing. good to see him back on the lecture circuit.

the american national anthem is a solid #2 behind the french national anthem. canada is nice, but land of the free and the home of the brave is a great way to end a national song. (its no "sowing the fields with the blood of our enemies", but we cant be as cool as those fellows from marseilles.)
