on my plane ride, about 90% of the people in the airport were not wearing masks. once on the plane, it was about 75-80% not wearing masks. my uber driver in chicago wore a mask (so i wore one), my uber driver in cleveland did not wear a mask (but i wore one anyway because....cleveland).
-
how did soderblom look.
-
yeah, but its the jets...
-
the jets would likely deal #10. we wouldnt be able to match that.
-
one car swerved and barely missed him and the other truck plowed into him. nobody got a ticket. again, he is walking across a freeway. he is committing suicide or really effed up.
-
i tried to watch it....threw up.
-
all the little girls with the crimson curls singing cleveland sucks, cleveland sucks.
-
shaedon sharpe staying in the draft. potential piston if they fall a bit in the lottery?
-
yup. the only way is if the jets arent interested. but their willingness to go after tyreke hill says they definitely are interested. aj brown also wants a pay day. oh, and wouldnt you know it, he has the same agent as deebo samuel. what a coincidence.
-
if youre in a bidding war with the jets, you'll need to give up 32 and 34 for sure. at least.
-
would you deal #34 for deebo? on the one hand, youre getting a known commodity who excelled in shanahan's offense. you're likely drafting a wide receiver sometime and you hope the grow up to be deebo in 3 years. this gives you a sure thing at that position. otoh, its costing you $25 million per year to get it over having a cost controlled option. the team is not one receiver away from contention. your qb is still average to below average and might not be able to take advantage of deebo's strengths. deebo may not be a culture fit. it may cost you more than just #34.
-
depends what they have to give up....of course.
-
sure i would. i didnt believe all that shit i heard from people who said airlines were cancelling flights because their employees were protesting vaccines and i dont think theyre cancelling a bunch of flights because some employees got covid because they dropped the mask mandate. did some employees protest the vaccine mandate? sure. will some employees get covid now? sure. is either a big deal in the grand scheme of things? i dont think so. its time to get back to normal. wear a mask if you want, but i dont think people should be required to do so anymore. the risk is no longer that great.

i clicked on your link because i was curious. and my assumption was correct. click. bait.
-
wife has a lot of incentive to lie too. especially if he had life insurance.
-
i didnt say the article was fake, it is click bait. how many airlines are there in "europe"? does the article say? does it compare how many have had cancellations becuase of covid, or just cite 2, one of which that has had some and the other who really hasnt had many? its click bait for people like you who have politicized covid and apparently have no risk tolerance for others (considering you said you never fly, correct?). and you clicked on it. mission accomplished.
-
and again, this is about risk tolerance. we have mitigation measures for covid, the hospitals are not overrun, we have vaccines and boosters that lower the chance of serious illness. the time for measures like masks in all public spaces is past.
-
did you read it? let me show you: 1) the headline says "airlines that dropped mask mandate now sufferinf staff shortages due to covid 19". the article references two airlines. one of which has had barely any cancellations more than normal. 2) the article CITES noted twitter troll eric fengl ding as some sort of expert. According to Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist and health economist, such flight cancellations were all but guaranteed once passengers and crew members took off their masks. "So damn predictable — UK govt drops restrictions, airlines like @easyJet drops masks ... and less than 2 weeks later ... huge spike in pilots and flight attendants out sick with #COVID19 unable to work, and 120 flights cancelled! Airline CEOs asked for this," he said on Twitter. **** that, my friend, is the definition of click bait. its a headline designed to grab your attention, but the article itself doesnt support the outrageous headline.
-
its a click bait article that attracted the right audience.

so he walked across a major freeway and got hit by TWO cars? he was either committing suicide or he was high as a kite or drunk as a skunk.
-
i think he's just using it as leverage to get more money out of san fran.
-
lets bring this thread full circle and trade decker for deebo.

that show is ridiculous and totally false on so many levels. i still watch it though. its a real slander to jerry west, but that lawsuit is going nowhere and probably was filed only to get west's story front and center. i love the idea that the LAKERS were some loser franchise that never won anything and had to be dragged out of the gutter by jerry freaking buss and his grand idea to draft magic johnson. the team won 50 games the year before and had freaking kareem abdul jabbar on it. and buss didnt eve draft magic! cooke did. i mean, jerry west drafted magic and everyone on the planet knew that the lakers were drafting magic. they make the story out like they were going to fire everyone if they didnt beat boston and that they just lost to detroit and indy. that never happened (they did beat boston but they also beat detroit and indy), they were one of the top teams all year long and favorites in the west. sheesh. i laugh at this show with my wife and she asks me why. i say, "they make the LOS ANGELES LAKERS out to be some underdog story and jerry west (the guy who helped make them such a winning team as a player and an executive) as some loser who was dragging them down." the greatest or second best franchise in nba history as an underdog loser. its amazing. but it's something to watch. poor cookie, she's really in for a surprise in a few seasons...
-
i have no basis to write berggren off other than he was drafted by the previous regime. so i hope youre right.

some wise young poster named chas once warned about building your team around young pitching given their propensity for injuries and flameouts...
