  1. walker looked like an achilles injury.
  2. good coverage. secondary playing well so far.
  3. great field position. now lets get 7.
  4. no harrison smith. good news for us.
  5. every game in the nfl is a winnable game. lions can win this game. theyre not the favorite to win, but they can certainly do it. this is a good test to see if they are for real.
  6. case was awful against hawaii and uconn but you think he'd be better against a real team? why?
  7. 3 pick parlay: falcons +8.5, niners +7.5, jags +14. lions + 7 chiefs -6.5 ravens -2 bears/texans under 39 pack/bucs under 42
  8. the only team that had a victory last week that might be construed as "impressive" was tennessee, but even then, they couldnt put a flawed florida team away at home. i think there's going to be a lot of different teams look like a "legit #4" team from week to week. michigan has iowa on the road next week. weird shit happens at iowa on the road and this iowa team has a good defense. they could struggle.
  9. if michigan is a fake #4, who should be there? usc? just beat mighty oregon state by 3 points. clemson? gave up 45 to wake forest. have beaten mighty furman and la tech and ga tech so far. kentucky? just beat mighty northern illinois by 7. at home. if michigan did that you'd be calling them frauds. ok state? beat az state, cmu, and arkansas flipping pine bluff. that's on par with michigan's creampuff schedule. there is no "real #4." there is alabama (who should have lost to texas who just lost to texas tech, btw), georgia (who didnt put away kent state this week), and ohio state (who almost lost to a bad notre dame team at home) and then everyone else. just like last year. the difference between last year and this year is that michigan has to play at ohio state and is likely to lose, opening up the playoff to ohio state. you should watch some of these teams sometime. 😉 there isnt a world beater among them and the top 3 are in a league of their own talent-wise.
  10. they just lost to a winless buffalo team and gave up 50 in the process. so he'd fit right in at nebraska.
  11. i think some of you forgot what its like to play a functional opponent. understandable considering michigan's shameful ooc. no edwards, no all, no hill-greene. those are three big absences, especially hill-greene. jj was missing the deep ball for most of the day, but the oline looked solid and corum was corum. the short and intermediate stuff was there all day. jones didnt get beat for a sack and jj didnt have a lot of pressure so that's a good sign. the defense looked like what we thought they would look like: different on the edges and with no depth at linebacker. and that's what they are. tua jr can run, so they didnt want to go tearing off the edge and let him bust the pocket, you want to constrict the pocket and play responsible. and they did that. once the backup came in you saw them insert the pure pass rushers and they got more pressure. the linebackers other than colston were a problem. barrett is too small and mullings doesnt know what he's doing. they need hill-greene back asap. on the flip side, the secondary looked good and sainristil is looking like a good slot corner. they went after gemon green and he held up pretty well. maryland has legit nfl draft talent at wr and michigan contained them for the most part all day. maryland played well. no penalties, but in the end tua jr is tua jr. he's going to throw something stupid up for grabs and get picked, which he eventually did. i know we expect michigan to win every game by 3 tds or else they suck, but other than jj missing too many deep passes, i thought they played ok. and they won. that's all that matters.
  12. the only way goff is the longterm answer at qb is if the question is: how can we top out at a .500 team?
  13. bears will franchise him.
  14. josh "speed in space" gattis down 14 to mtsu in the 4th quarter. there are about 5,000 people there because its miami.
  15. rutgers might be the only win on their upcoming schedule. i guess someone removed the horseshoe that's been stuck up mel tucker's ass for the last two years. that said, watch them beat michigan.
  16. he's already signed for two more years, why would you give him an extension?
  17. it could be worse, you could be michigan state.
  18. they looked great at home against a division favorite and looked bad on the road in prime time against a division favorite. now theyre playing the lions at home in a non prime time game. the vikings are the clear favorite right now. the lions played them tough last year, so there is that.
  19. how'd they look at home against green bay?
  20. i think that's the nicest thing you've ever said about aj hinch. 🙂
  21. minny added a coach who knows modern offense to replace their old coach who knew how to run the ball up the middle.
  22. none of those three should be on the list. guys with the ball in their hand who can shoot and drive are the best players in the league. you see it in the playoffs every year.
