that was one of the worst power plays ive seen in a long time.

first round pick marcus sasser with a grand total of 3 minutes. i will miss JEIII telling me he and isaiah livers were the missing pieces to a solid team.

sam darnold will turn back into sam darnold at some point. i'd much rather have him on the vikings than matt stafford. stafford is a much better qb. but the vikes drafted a qb in the first round last year. dealing their limited draft capital for an old qb like stafford doesnt seem like a solid long term move. otoh, flags fly forever.

would have been nice to have him on mathurin. otoh, it would allow indy to just have a floater on defense to clog the lane and double cade because ausar is useless on offense.

cade missed an open three and a bunch of tough layups in the 4th. but if you want to be a max player and an all star, you have to make those when it counts. or at least draw fouls. hey, its only one game. and last year he looked great in game one against miami (also a loss). so lets all settle down. and besides, in the grand scheme of things you should want them to lose. need that #5 pick again!

to a degree. usc hasnt won anything since pete carroll left and theyre still a draw (albeit a smaller one). notre dame is still a draw. tennessee. nebraska to a degree. i understand your point and there is some truth to it, but "being a good coach away" is true BUT that good coach gets poached quite quickly 9 times out of 10. you make it sound easy and it is not. msu was a solid team under dantonio and they were never the draw michigan is even when michigan sucks. and now no one givea two squirts about msu. it will return to relevance when they hire a good coach and then return to irrelevance the minute he leaves or michigan gets good. michigan will be watched even when brady hoke is their coach.
