priced himself out of a job. athletic will pick him up. he was one of the best guys there.
-
he still seems best suited as an agitator, work horse, pk specialist. i still dont see a ton of skill. with that said, those are valuable traits to have. seems like an andrew copp/jt compher type. but i readily admit i am not a hockey scout. lol.
-
i always disliked him for skipping an entire season and sabotaging that bulls team. i hate the bulls but that team was fun and rose killed it by refusing to play.

i think kevin warren's time with the bears makes plain that he is not some organizational genius and is really just an empty suit who has empthy suited his way to top jobs.

the ratings are strong for usc-michigan or alabama-georgia, or tennessee-oklahoma. what are the ratings for northwestern-rutgers? or purdue-oregon state? tv wants 5 million viewers a pop. there arent too many schools that deliver those ratings regularly. that's why a future "super league" is not out of the realm of possibility. like you say, tv calls the shots. that's why the pac ten dissolved, because tv told kevin warren what to do and he did it. same with pettiti. eventually tv will tell the acc to pound sand and notre dame to get on board. and they will.

i think doing away with the ncaa could bring the parties together. the south and the midwest would unite in opposition. only the northeast and west coast liberals would maintain support for centralized authority against evil male sports. everyone - EVERYONE - hates the ncaa. it would be political gold to usurp it. the problem is what comes next. the reality is a two division league with the big ten on one side and the sec on the other. each with 20 teams. you need 10 more teams. 4 in the big ten and 6 in the sec. get notre dame, florida state, north carolina, virginia, miami, clemson, stanford, cal....and who else? bc? smu? oklahoma state? kansas? pitt? syracuse?

everyone is discovering that there isnt much difference between the angels and the white sox.

the ncaa will do nothing until someone forces them to do something. if they try to enforce serious rules against financial incentives they will be sued. again. and they will lose. again. thr only real authority they have is over minor stuff like cheeseburgers and sign stealing. stuff where schools with normal coaches just beg forgiveness and get a slap on the wrist. any SERIOUS infraction will be met with a lawsuit now and the ncaa will lose it. all this ends only with collective bargaining and a written, enforceable agreement to limit salaries and a real penalty if (when) the ohio state's and texas a & m's of the world violate that agreement.

i'm guessing he got a better offer for next year.

ok, who had "before the season even starts" for his kwahi leonard injury bingo? cause he's already having knee surgery.

davenport is a much more complete player than houston, come on. he's just hurt all the time. and probably wasnt a great risk when they signed him. -

houston might be a third down pass rusher. maybe. he was sort of a one trick pony two years ago. he doesnt set the edge. he isnt very big. -
i have no love for the artists formerly known as the redskins, but jayden daniels becoming patrick mahomes and caleb williams becoming justin fields would be pretty damn awesome.

i agree with this almost completely. there is an element of clock management at work. and unlike last year they dont HAVE to get to 35 points to win because this year the defense is better. goff throwing picks is still a bit of an issue. but the run game looked fine to me. unlike in the tampa game they stuck with it and it paid dividends. -

the white sox have one player in their starting lineup with an obp over .300. they also have only one player in their starting lineup with a slg over .400.
