  1. Griffins have been down bad lately, maybe due to all the callups. As a team they aren't scoring.
  2. Someone spotted Cossa at the Grand Rapids airport, flying out to join the team in Colorado
  3. Well Tarasenko made a great play then sets up Elmer to tie it, I'll take that as a "response"
  4. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed that the Wings' response to the Mrazek situation was to shrug. Am I crazy that two dudes just ran into Mrazek who seemed to be in his crease? No penalty given. Wings put out their fourth line with Watson, nothing. Now they're down 1-0 after giving up yet another power play goal by the first guy who ran Mrazek. I don't know what to say.
  5. After being run into twice by Utah hockey players Mrazek leaves with an injury less than two minutes into the game
  6. I thought so too, or some hi-tech medical/sports science monitoring device....but after a quick google it is a boring wireless microphone
  7. I wasn't entirely sure if he would join GR since he missed a few games late this season with an injury, so that is good to see.
  8. I did see that he did that in the KHL and I thought who the hell is Josh Leivo haha! I honestly have no clue, maybe he's a late bloomer but some guys just click in certain leagues too. I don't really know what the KHL landscape is like these days either. Seems like something that will at least get him invited to NHL training camps.
  9. Tralmaks, 28, spent the 2024-25 season with Rytíři Kladno in the Czech Extraliga and ranked among the team leaders with 23 goals (1st), 28 assists (1st), 51 points (1st), a plus-four rating (T1st), 66 penalty minutes (1st), two power play goals (T7th), 13 power play points (2nd), two shorthanded goals (1st), two game-winning goals (T1st) and 143 shots (T2nd) in 48 games. His 51 points were the most of any player in Czechia’s top professional league. The 6-foot-4, 209-pound forward played the entire 2023-24 campaign with Rytíři Kladno, recording 32 points (21-11-32) and 34 penalty minutes in 52 regular-season games, in addition to five points (3-2-5) in four postseason contests. Tralmaks has also collected 41 points (22-19-41), a plus-23 rating and 42 penalty minutes in 87 games over parts of three seasons with the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins from 2020-23. Large Latvian dude, sounds like he plays fourth line minutes for the national team. With his size it sounds like he could at least play a checking role if the offense doesn't translate. Probably just AHL fodder but maybe he randomly hits and becomes the Wings' version of Balinskis in Florida (a guy can dream). Leading the Czech league in scoring is at least intriguing but who knows.
  10. MBN coming over when Skelleftea is done....they got spanked by Färjestad today
  11. No sense in doing anything else at this point imo
  12. Honestly didn't expect to see the NBA put out an hour long highlight package for Cade, but I'm here for it
  13. To be fair, he wasn't doing anything to help the Red Wings for those ~2 years he wasn't their GM
  14. At the very least get him in the Grand Rapids playoff run.......if that's legal I can't remember eligibility rules with my headache right now
  15. It honestly blows my mind. When I went to games, there were like 20 fans in the stands and they'd get killed by D2 squads.
  16. Plante was probably the best Freshman in the NCAA this year The Wings might have another intriguing Goalie prospect on their hands as well: Guimond might be the Red Wings’ most under-the-radar prospect. The team took a flier on him in the 2023 draft, 148 picks after Augustine (169th overall, in the sixth round). All he’s done is go 15-0-0, the best start ever for a CHL goalie. He has a 1.52 GAA and .948 save percentage but hasn’t appeared in enough games to qualify for the league lead. That’s because he started the season with Cedar Rapids of the USHL before a November rules change making CHL players eligible to play in the NCAA prompted him to join Moncton. Guimond (6-4, 175) is committed to play at Yale next season, Lyon’s alma mater. https://www.mlive.com/redwings/2025/03/red-wings-pipeline-looks-promising-at-key-position.html\
  17. I am a stranger in these parts but I just learned my alma mater UCSD is now not only in Division 1 but in the NCAA tournament! It is surreal to see them playing Michigan, please go easy on us tonight.
  18. Ottawa traded for Ullmark, it wasn't a free agency signing I take a short break and people start pining for Andreas Athanasiou 😂
  19. Think I have to take a break from here, stay well everyone!
  20. Insanely bad luck + playing against hot goalies, bad recipe
