No thanks on Arthur Smith. In my eyes he seems like someone who thinks they're a lot smarter than they are and he seems like he gets obsessed with random JAGs instead of feeding his top talent (which once again feels like he thinks he knows better than everyone else). Maybe I'm off since I'm probably coming from a fantasy football slant but I've never been a fan of the guy.

A private equity company (or even companies maybe?) are buying up rinks all over the US too. Messing with pricing, making facilities worse, forcing people to buy their insurance, etc. Sad to see where the game is going down here too.

One thing I'll say about Wallinder is that he was always a project and the Wings walked Johansson to his waivers eligibility before playing him in the NHL and now he's a regular (for better or worse). Maybe Wallinder comes in and surprises us next season.

No way Hutson should be anywhere near the USA roster. JT Miller, Trochek and Nelson are certainly choices over Robertson and Caufield....

This Kasper season has honestly been fascinating. He definitely has some games where he isn't good positioning-wise or lacks effort, but I honestly feel like the "eye test" says he's playing fairly well overall just very unlucky. I randomly pulled up moneypuck to check an expected goal model, and he's 6th on the team just ahead of Raymond so these made up stats seem to support it as well (DeBrincat, Finnie, Larkin, Copp(!!), JVR ahead of Kasper). I expected him to snap out of his funk by now though. We'll see if he gets better results in the new year.

Tuomisto has gotta be ready I hope they can pull off a trade for a defender or two, with how the league is just getting into the playoffs means a team could make some noise
