  1. That's such a funny story, I know a guy playing in the league over there so I've been keeping up with it. I think Booth is doing it as a favor for someone?
  2. I guess because he's an unsigned RFA people think there's a chance he'll get dealt? I don't believe they are seriously shopping him but weirder things have happened I guess, I just figured I'd pass it along because I'm bored.
  3. https://rg.org/news/hockey/source-yzerman-verbeek-relationship-could-help-red-wings-land-mctavish Allegedly the "source" broke the coach Q to Ducks stuff but I am skeptical
  4. That Seider contract is nice too when guys like Provorov are getting the same cap hit
  5. Season is over fire the entire coaching staff
  6. I would be shocked too, but my post was what I would try not what I expect. I'm wary of Copp being 100% to start the season which is why I would hypothetically stick him on line 4 to start. I also don't think Copp has enough scoring chops to play first line winger, ideally he is my 3C in my mind but I want our young centers playing center personally.
  7. Honestly I'm a bit intrigued by that War of the Worlds movie now, I hadn't heard of it before your post Bert. Sometimes those sorts of really bad movies can be entertaining.
  8. I think if I were the coach and absent the info given in camp/preseason about who is playing well and gelling together, I think this is what I would try: Mazur - Larkin - Raymond DeBrincat - Kasper - Kane JVR - Danielson - Appleton Rasmussen/Soderblom - Copp - Compher/Tralmaks I'm a bit wary Copp is going to be fully ready to go to start the season though, and Mazur + Danielson will probably start in Grand Rapids. It would be my actual preference for one of MBN or Lombardi having an unreal camp to steal that first line LW spot.
  9. I don't think it is too deep, Rogan is a dumbass grifter and always has been
  10. I honestly wouldn't mind Nate breaking in on the wing himself, but ideally to me they both play center. I imagine Danielson is an in-season call up though.
  11. I cannot wait for Nate to be a Wing
  12. Agree with you, no thanks if a first or top prospect is involved
  13. For me, yes someone will sign him but no I don't want him on the Wings
  14. https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/detroit-red-wings/latest-news/nhl-insider-says-red-wings-leading-race-to-land-penguins-rust Probably means it won't happen, I feel like all Wings trades outside of DeBrincat have come out of nowhere.
  15. It is already extremely tough to get convictions in these cases and it seems like the prosecution did a horrible job on top of that. I'm not looking forward to the online discourse surrounding this now, that's for sure.
  16. Daniel Sprong signs in the KHL with CSKA, will be teammates with Buchelnikov
  17. Sounding like Eddie Genborg will play for Sweden in the summer showcase, looking forward to seeing how he does
  18. What an unhinged post about Anzalone dear lord
  19. fwiw I recalled you making the post during the playoffs (it was disappointing overall for the team honestly) so I got what you meant. I just figured I'd give a take / non-take about the Kasper/Danielson stuff since cruzer had touched on it and I'm really bored today.
  20. Comparing Danielson and Kasper's Griffins stints is a tough one for me. Kasper didn't really get an offseason going into that year and obviously started slow. But he also had the advantage of playing against men already in Sweden plus the Griffins team around him was much better. I think he played with Berggren mostly who is a very good AHL player. Danielson was on a much worse team and was basically asked to be their best player (top line center, pk and pp). Having Watson as your main winger is a tough ask and they didn't really have a defender good at breaking the puck out, they really missed Johansson and Edvinsson back there. So it is tough for me to say who was "better" but I think they both had pretty solid seasons respectively.
  21. Ya it is a shame he's so passive. Anton Johansson is a wildcard as well, maybe he's something in a season or two. Seems like he has a decent knack for a breakout pass and plays meaner.
