  1. Agreed, I know Seider got time in Grand Rapids but Edvinsson has been thriving in the SHL and I wouldn't be shocked if Yzerman has seen enough at this point.
  2. Edvinsson played the most minutes for Sweden and barely saw the power play which is wild. How the F does he pivot so well without even using crossovers?! From head of Elite Prospects: Sebrango goal: Edvinsson given first star despite Owen Power scoring a hat trick: https://thehockeynews.com/news/world-junior-championship-three-stars-from-dec-26?fbclid=IwAR07-UR0zUk5aTC2FPrQ3HsXFuWPfIp1p7qaPiY8cJyZ6MBU9Z5bfM4h8So Cossa still not starting today despite Canada switching goalies 😞
  3. Edvinsson scored a nice shorthanded breakaway goal against Russia Viro wearing the C for Finland I think, saw he may have had a PP assist yesterday Neither Cossa nor Bednar started for their teams and the teams' other goalies got lit up. Sebrango scored. Mazur laid a big hit at least, I saw Savage dressed too
  4. That's what happens when sniper Rasmussen is out
  5. Maybe it is because I'm only noticing his mistakes but it seems like Oesterle is having a bad game
  6. Wings may have just tied it! Yep, Bert on a wrap around good goal the refs missed.
  7. 3-2 canes lol, kid on Carolina gets his first I think. Oesterle looking like a pylon in the slot
  8. Larkin after a nifty pass from Raymond makes it 2-2! No goaltending/defense tonight I guess
  9. I just tuned in and the Wings are already down 2-1 what the heck
  10. Rasmussen and Fabbri to COVID protocol today
  11. Larkin from Seider on the PP!
  12. Was a snoozer of a first from what I caught
  13. I too am not a huge Fabbri fan, his shot is nice to have around but the rest of his game isn't very inspiring to me. But this is still the longest commitment to a player who seems to be well liked in the room, and it is still only 3 years and $4 million a year. Looking at his comparable contracts on capgeek it is probably a slight overpay but with where their cap space is at it now and in the future isn't something I'm worried about. Maybe Fabbri can play a little better with more stability? Even if he wasn't the perfect player Stevie got him for nothing so I never really griped about him.
  14. Even if this is true I honestly do not care about him being "no worse" than a vaccinated person from a health standpoint (he has made his bed and can lay in it for all I care), but him missing games in Canada and having a longer quarantine and additional protocols due to still being unvaccinated still bugs me. Imagine if they somehow luck into the playoffs and play Toronto or something... I was hoping him missing game checks would change his mind if other concerns didn't.
  15. Bertuzzi confirmed he still won't get the vaccine 😕
  16. I have tuned out then back in about four times at this point. The game is a bit intriguing because the Avalanche are a fun team, but it is also rough to watch the Wings make some of these plays. Also I thought Osgood was wrong on his Zadina criticism on the one goal, but I also don't know what kind of faceoff sets the Wings run. Erne was lined up on the inside on the circle so I would figure he's supposed to stay in front of the net to defend and Zadina, who was lined up on the outside to the slot, was supposed to go to the point guy... but I am probably way off. Either way Zadina, Erne, and Hronek looked like crap on that play it was quite sad.
  17. I feel like my brain refuses to remember specifics about this series
  18. Namestnikov scores his career 100th goal to make it 3-1 before intermission! Nice pass by Suter, Wings needed something. Saucer pass that even bounced a bit and Namestnikov settled it and buried it.
  19. The Wings look awful and disinterested
  20. Was it this one?
  21. Of course Darren Helm would score on a breakaway against the Wings...
