  1. He's from Chicago. Granderson would be a great analyst. I like Petry too, but he seems like he'd appeal more to the radio audience.
  2. Maton has hit lefties better than righties...in a very small sample size. I do think he'll be platooned though. Harris was targeting a LH hitting infielder, probably for that reason.
  3. Yes, all the time. And my filing cabinets are so full I struggle to stuff new folders in there.
  4. Great, after speeding up the game this year, they are going to slow it down in the future with more replays.
  5. I am outraged that the Tigers signed Wingenter.
  6. He has a lot of followers because he has MLB at the end of his name. I don't follow him, but he has showed up on my timeline a lot and I believe he is a Tigers fan. There is probably a reason I have never followed him, but I don't remember what it is. Calico Joe is also a character in what was probably John Grisham's worst book.
  7. Yes, he is a good depth player who gets shuttled between the majors and minors. Fortunately for him, he found a team that was able to give him a slightly bigger role.
  8. There are worse players than Reyes, but I don't think I've ever seen so much angst over the release of a 4th outfielder on a bad team.
  9. Vierling does not appear to be a srarting outfielder unless he learns to hit, but there are two things that make him intriguing as a role player: (1) He has elite speed. (2) He has hit left handers quite well in a small sample size.
  10. I truly do not get the continued angst over Victor Reyes. He had plenty of opportunities to show what he can do. He's a backup outfielder with a .294 OBP and no plus skills. Vierling might not end up being better, but his floor seems to be Reyes. Let's see if he can do better.
  11. I don't care about bullpen pieces on a non-contending team. The bullpen will work itself out especially with Fetter.
  12. I, for one, am not outraged. I don't really care about Cisnero one way or the other. I am just a little surprised he survived the off-season purge.
  13. Everybody deserves attention! That is what great about this forum. 😄
  14. I never knew a Cisneros before. It might be a regional thing. I get Greene versus Green.
  15. Given the current status and direction of the Tigers, I think there is no player on the 40-man roster I care less about than Jose Cisnero. Maybe Zach Short. I'd be happy if people stopped calling him Cisneros. Why do they do that?
  16. I don't really care whether he's on the roster or not or how much they pay him, but given all the turnover and commitment to youth, it's a little surprising that they are going out of their way to keep him.
  17. As long as you have a picture of a flag, an eagle and Jesus, you're good.
  18. Tweeters often used to remind him off his 2009 Tigers stat line. He never gave a response.
  19. You assumed correctly!
  20. I've got some of those. The only problem (and it may not be a problem for everyone) is I have to pay a commission if I want to do it in my IRA. So, I have to make sure I am really getting more than I would with the CDs.
  21. That has always been a peeve of mine too. Both numbers are important. It's important to know that inflation is up let's say 7% in the past year (because we know we are not going back to the same prices again). It's also important to know that inflation stayed the same month to month. It's two different stories. Each one matters.
  22. I was just questioning whether what you heard actually happened because there is a lot of BS out there (as you know) and there are multiple people telling the same cat box story and it seems far fetched to me that this would be happening all over the place. I don't doubt that some confused kids identify as animals, but I don't believe this behavior is being normalized by school administrations.
  23. Instead of a warning track, how about a moat with alligators in it?
