  1. I like Naylor, but I don't know if he's much of an upgrade over a Keith/Jones platoon. I guess you know what your getting with Naylor, but based on what they are currently doing, a Keith/Jones platoon is pretty good.
  2. But they'll have the best ranked farm system!
  3. Ok, I just looked at your post again. I didn't read it well at all the first time.
  4. He never does anything when it counts. He gets all his home runs in blowouts. He's too soft and just doesn't care. You can tell from his body language.
  5. I believe that it's a French name pronounced DoMayKneel
  6. Haven't you been saying all year that the Tigers are doing so well because they have no stars? Everyone is buying into the system because they are young and hungry and there are no superstars ruining the chemistry.
  7. Someone has to say it...TORK!
  8. Should of taken a longer nap.
  9. Do you have proof of that? Mike Trout wants to know.
  10. Stategic naps are one of the best ways to get the team going.
  11. 7.92 lifetime ERA. 1.95 WHIP. 59 BB in 80.2 IP.
  12. He's not wrong about Trump being a POS and a fraud though!
  13. He was good at the end of last year, not so good this year. He has no velocity, no swing and miss and he's 34.
  14. I wouldn't do it because Martinez doesn't help the Tigers, but are they really going to get much for Anderson in a one for one?
  15. Maybe McGonigle and Clark and Liranzo take as long to get good as Torkelson and Adell or maybe they never get that good. Maybe Greene and Carpenter keep getting hurt and peak early. All I know is that they've got an 8-game lead and the best pitcher in baseball right now and that may never happen again.
  16. Skubal is one pretty big piece to lose! When all the great prospects are ready in a couple of years, it might be time for Greene, Torkelson and Carpenter to leave. I don't think there is some magical point in the future where we can say they are ready. They are ready now, maybe as much as they'll ever be. I am not saying this in response to their 1-9 funk. If I thought they were a bad team, I wouldn't suggest they explore a big move. I don't have a particular move in mind. I wouldn't want them to trade top prospects for a two month rental. If there is someone signed past this year, I'd consider it.
  17. I don't know about "go for broke". You only do that if the right trade can be made, but now is as good a time as ever to make a big move. They've got an 8-game lead and the best pitcher in baseball. After next year, they will most likely not have that pitcher and they probably won't have anyone close to that. They may be in better shape in a couple of years or maybe they'll be like the White Sox a few years ago or the Orioles now. When you have a team which probably won't be able to keep their best players, I think you have to take advantage of every opportunity.
  18. It is interesting that WSJ is breaking stories which I am sure they have known about for a while. They are a pretty conservative outlet with a wealthy audience, so not who you would normally expect to be targeting Trump. In fact, their editorial section used to be embarassingly pro-Trump. Why would they hold onto the birthday card story until now? Perhaps, you are right that they have what they want now, so they'd like to push out Trump before he screws things up.
  19. It will probably drop, but that won't necessarily mean an overall improvement in performance. I'm more concerned with his lower walk rate this year. Sluggers who don't make a lot of contact usually need to walk a lot to be successful.
  20. Home run hitters drive Cadillacs.
  21. I wonder if Greene and the Tigers staff has though about going for more contact instead of swinging for the fences or if Greene is just mindlessly swinging for the fences because he doesn't know any better?
  22. Did he recognize you from MotownForums?
  23. The only thing surprising about the news that Trump is in the files is that he hasn't found a way to get it erased. Not yet anyway.
