  1. Nothing terrible. He is just an uninspirational vanilla politician who has gotten too old. With 330,000,000 million people there should be Obamas running every year. Politicians are so awful.
  2. 330 million people in America and we can't find someone better than psycho Trump and sleepy Joe?
  3. 80s is probably too old but when the opponent is nut job Trump why do any personal characteristics even matter? He still isn't Donald Trump and that is always going to be a factor as long as that dbag is on the ballot. He still isn't a crazy democrat, although he might be seen that way because of inflation (not his fault) and COVID mananagement.
  4. That and he gets the additional benefit of constant attention.
  5. Barring a major health problem, I think the chances are very high that he'll run again. Talking about his not running because he is too old doesn't make any sense when the opponent is Trump. He seems to be more physically healthy than Trump. Are we comparing them on cognitive abilities? 😃
  6. I have never understood the appeal of Oprah Winfrey. I understand what she now represents, but I don't get how she became so popular.
  7. I think Trump is the current favorite. That is really sad and makes our country look weak, but who is going to beat him? Trump would clearly get the Republican nomination at this point. If we still have high inflation (not Biden's fault at all) and the Covid situation is viewed as poorly managed (you can fairly blame Biden for some of that), the Democrats are in trouble. Fortunately, a lot can change befolre the 2024 election.
  8. That is actually how I did it too, but Oblong's way is more straighforward. It is the same kind of thinking, but it's easier to do addition than subtraction.
  9. Smith's transactions never seemed to have a point to them. Those seven-player trades with the Astros and Padres were always fun though.
  10. yeah, that's also how I think when I do calculations in my head. I think most people do it that way if they ever try it. The thing that is good about thinking that way from a young age is that you are using a logical algorithm. You are being taught to think about things in a logical way which will help you in higher level math.
  11. yes, it's amazing that I became a Tigah fan. Most educated people learn how to speak with a more neutral accent, but I kept my Massachusetts accent.
  12. I doubt Alexa would understand what I am saying. I have a terrible voice especially when speaking casually. I just calculated 137 x 18 in my head, but I usually use an old fashioned calculator.
  13. The saddest part is that this is not new. He has lying and conning for 40 years and so many have not picked up on it.
  14. Trump does not care if he won or lost. All that matters is the story. He's a salesman.
  15. The number of deaths is not relevant. It's about everything that happened from election day through January 6. The president tried to overturn an election right in front of everybody. He spit on our democracy and constitution like no president in my lifetime. It was a historical and disgraceful time in our nation's history and it's still happening. This can not be downplayed.
  16. They'll be some first class comedy there.
  17. I kind of wonder if they were trying to do a peaceful coup attempt and then Trump heard about the planned riot and thought that would be more fun.
  18. Where I live, the blue voters are vaguely racist Irish Catholic males who love Reagan, cops and the New England Patriots. They live in boring middle class suburbs and have all their teeth. They don't like Trump, but they voted voted for him twice because he is better than any Democrat and he did some good things.
  19. The invisible monster is probably a communist
  20. Did he really think he could help Connecticut turn red?
  21. I buy it too. I think he often viewed his presidency like professional wrestling. The insurrection was a good show and he took pride in helping to produce it. I've also heard that he called it off because he thought some of the rioters looked cheap whereas he was hoping they'd look like proud patriots.
  22. It should start picking up soon. Clark never does anything the first month. This is about the time he starts heating up.
  23. Yeah, it's bad. The only people it might work for is wealthy families where someone can stay at home and focus on their child's learning all day.
  24. Big corporations already do run the country to a large extent, both parties. There are supposedly contribution limits, but there are obviously ways to get around that. We probably don't disagree on the money problem. I just wasn't sure what you meant by "tear it all down" It sounded like you wanted to tear down democracy and try something else. I want us to work towards democracy instead of moving away from it like we seem to be doing.
  25. I am actually pretty cautious and have already started to do that. I also have an annuity which will give me lifetime income. With inflation and low interest rates, there is no good way to earn money outside of stocks, so the battle will be deciding how much to keep in stocks. Maybe in a few years, the interest rates will be higher.
