  1. FWIW, he was announced to the media as a tackle, but the Lions are announcing him as a guard.
  2. Pick is in.... Colby Sorsdal, OT, William and Mary
  3. You know we are getting into the later rounds when their stats on a guy are "two time SEC Honor Roll"
  4. Packers just picked Sean Clifford. What are the odds we see him get game action this year?
  5. Noah Sewell goes to the Bears. Damaging blow to his career.
  6. As we crawl towards #152, I'm thinking it will be one of the following players: Jammie Robinson, AT Perry, Antonio Johnson, Jaylon Jones, Mike Morris, Henry To'oTo'o, Jarrett Patterson, Nick Broeker, some dude from some small school I have never heard of.
  7. I think this is really good business on the Lions part. It has to be realistic, like if the Eagles said they'd only give a 7th and Houston was willing to give a 4th, sorry D'Andre, you're going to Houston. But free agents care about how they're treated when this time comes, and I'm sure word spreads regarding what teams will take care of you and what teams will take you out to the curb on Wednesday night.
  8. He was Lionized (old Lionized) in his first game though when he dropped what should have been a game-winning TD against the Bears. He was doomed from that point on.
  9. I don't love it, but I also didn't expect to get a 4th round pick for him at this point (even two years from now). I'm not really worried about him having some 150-yard game in a playoff game against the Lions. He hasn't shown any ability to consistently succeed without a pitch count.
  10. That'll be a great pickup for the Eagles until he gets hurt at halftime of the week one game.
  11. It's for a 2025 4th and a pick swap in the 7th this year. LET BRAD COOOOOOK.
  12. As we approach the 5th round, there are still some prospects out there who I had seen mocked to the 1st and 2nd rounds. Antonio Johnson is a possible starting corner or safety, not sure why he's dropping, maybe concern that he's a tweener? Henry To'oTo'o is a quality linebacker, no idea why he's dropping. Jaelyn Duncan probably isn't a guy on the Lions radar as a four-year LT, but he's a guy I saw go in the 1st in some mocks. Probably dropping because of that extensive experience coupled with him still needing being raw and needing more development at the position (real nice work on development, Maryland).
  13. Chad Ryland went to the Patriots, who traded up for him. I am pretty okay letting other teams waste draft capital on kickers and just picking up the perfectly capable kickers they then have to cut, like Robbie Gould and Nick Folk.
  14. Belichick is a lousy drafter and has been for a few years now. 2020: Kyle Dugger / Josh Uche / Anfernee Jennings / Devin Asiasi / Dalton Keene / Justin Wohrwasser / Michael Onwenu / Justin Herron / Caash Malula / Dustin Woodard 2021: Mac Jones / Christian Barmore / Ronnie Perkins / Rhamondre Stevenson / Cameron McGrone / Joshua Bledsoe / William Sherman / Tre Nixon 2022: Cole Strange / Tyquan Thornton / Marcus Jones / Jack Jones / Pierre Strong / Bailey Zappe / Kevin Harris / Sam Roberts / Chasen Hines / Andrew Steuber 2023: Christian Gonzalez / Keion White / Marte Mapu / Jake Andrews / Chad Ryland ... (TBD) That doesn't inspire confidence. Gonzalez seems like a good pick, but they aren't getting talent in the draft how they used to. Game seems to have passed Belichick by in an AFC that has no problem blowing right by him.
  15. The Lions-Eagles NFC Championship is shaping up to be an Alabama-Georgia alumni game.
  16. The Eagles traded a 2024 3rd for Ringo. Seems like a lot, but that will be a pick in the 90s unless they implode.
  17. General Targets: CB/DB depth, OG depth, maybe a WR, LB depth, DL depth I don't think I want a WR unless they can make an impact this season (or Holmes sees a diamond in the rough like ASB of course). Developmental depth doesn't really do me much good when my week one depth chart is looking like ASB / Jones / Reynolds / Raymond / Kennedy... I might prefer a trade at this point, for Hopkins, Evans, or otherwise.
  18. The secret will be to fire a positional coach earlier this year. Week one loss? Sorry Antwaan Randel El.
  19. Someone should tell Kiper those sunglasses don't look good.
  20. I don't think DT was an obvious need per se. Between Buggs, McNeill, and Paschal, they have competent bodies at the position. Obvious weakness though, yes. It's the only group that gives me some pause for concern. Assuming there are no injuries, we are really counting on getting at least one of (a) a new and improved totally healthy Josh Paschal, (b) a totally shocking addition in Levi, or (c) an impressive showing by a rookie in Brodric Martin... Absent those, which are all far from given, there may be a few teams who run over us like the Panthers did. And if a guy or two does gets hurt, we are in trouble.
  21. Something I saw on Twitter was that 5/6 guys they took could have been drafted at #18 without universal complaint. Martin being the exception. I think I agree, and I think that speaks well for their haul.
