  1. I have a good feeling about Mahogany. He seems to have a mad man mentality.
  2. Detroit 36 Buffalo 29, but we are going to be sweating that last frantic Buffalo drive.
  3. I love to watch games played in the elements… from the comfort of my climate-controlled home.
  4. This is some scintillating football.
  5. My thought process also. But both teams look like they are playing to lose tonight.
  6. Moseley on active roster per NFL.com.
  7. It is one thing to have the analytics in your favor. It is another thing to be the first one to follow the analytics in a sport where you have a small number of games and a small number of possessions each game. It is easy to forget now but the wolves were out for Dan Campbell. Sheila had to give him (and his aggressiveness on 4th down) a vote of confidence. A lot of other owners would have fired him.
  8. Yes. They have a plan for every player they draft and coaching to get them there.
  9. Seems like the narrative about TA out of the building is not one they accept in the building.
  10. That toe drag catch by Nacua was one of the most athletic catches I’ve seen and Stafford had maybe the most creative and elite ball placement I’ve seen. It looked impressive in real time but the replays bring home what an incredible play that was on both of their parts. Literally impossible to defend that pass.
  11. Only the Chiefs win a division title by doinking a FG attempt.
  12. The thing I’m worried about most is that we will have to play Stafford, Hurts, Allen, or Mahomes without Hutch, at least as a third and long option.
  13. Can’t recall seeing a game end on a walk-off punt. Were you not entertained? Great game.
  14. Stafford is going off too.
  15. Also, the Rams are going to finish with double digit wins. Assuming they hold on today, that’s 7. They have SF, NYJ, then Arizona and Seattle both at home.
  16. Yes, but look at Buffalo’s wins: Arizona, Miami (2x), Jax, Jets, Titans, Seattle, Indy, KC, SF. Detroit has played (and beat) a lot of those teams but the only playoff caliber win on their schedule so far has been (a weak) KC. They got blown out by Baltimore and lost to Houston. AFC is not good this year. If Buffalo was in the NFC North they’d be fighting GB for third.
  17. Hey this guy Matt Stafford is pretty good. And I guess this is what a 10-2 team looks like in the AFC.
  18. I’m not a doctor, but by all accounts it was a clean break and I haven’t heard of any concern that the bone is at risk for further injury. It seems the issue will be strength and conditioning. If he is cleared for practice during the playoffs nobody will be able to keep him out.
  19. Good stat. It brings into focus how demoralizing it is for a defense to try to stop this team. You get us on third and short? Now try again. With the strength of this offense, I assume that all of the generic analytics stats the networks display when MCDC is going for it on 4th down dramatically underestimate the team’s expected win percentage. A 4th down call that would be calculated as a 50/50 proposition based on all teams, all scenarios, all time, might be a 60 or 70% success rate based on the skill and execution of this offense. I presume MCDC has proprietary data on this. And I presume if the national pundits could see it they wouldn’t be having so many conniptions. But then again that is what they get paid for.
  20. Vikings fans are delusional too. Just heard on NFL Radio: “I’m not afraid of Detroit. They are teetering.” Well, their fourth string defense just beat the Packers. If that is teetering, I’ll take it.
  21. I believe the Lions have won 7 of last 8 against the Packers. Yes, they are a tough team to play but every team is tough in January. Listening to Packers fans call in to Adam Schein, and they are all talking about how they should have won but the Packers made mistakes. Well, Goff threw and INT deep in his own territory. Campbell went for it on 4th down deep in our own territory and the team didn’t convert. The fact is that the Packers were in the game due to Lions mistakes.
  22. INT now Branch is slow to get up. 😬
