Elite level athletes, and dawgs. Is Bijan Robinson a dawg? He is certainly en elite athlete and a three-down player. But if he got that dawg in him he might be a Lion with pick 18.

Don’t forget this front office traded up to pick a WR largely on the strength of his special teams tape. Yes Jaymo can fly, but Holmes said something like “He got that dawg in him.” So if someone ranks prospects by how much of that dawg they got in them, I’d like to see it.

It’s not just the players, it’s that Brad Holmes has absolutely crushed two drafts. Legitimately eight starters/regular contributors in two drafts and five more who could turn into good players. If he continues to be able to draft starters in rounds 3 and after, there is no ceiling for this franchise. It really is astonishing the talent he has brought in, with another massive opportunity to draft this spring.

He will break Jamaal Williams’s TD record next season. 😉

I live out of market and don’t see many games but the lineup card on the DRW FB page shows Seider paired with Walman and Chiarot paired with Hronek. Is this real? If so, is it new?

If (pure speculation) this was related to substance abuse, it is easy to imagine that Caps front office would have heard rumors that Wings front office had not. Whatever the story was, everybody in the NHL was undoubtedly calling everyone else for gossip on Vrana as soon as he went into the program. Fans don’t know the reason but I suspect everyone in the NHL has a good guess. It was a surprise to us that he was waived and cleared waivers, but is maybe not a big surprise to insiders.

I see Bijan Robinson mocked as early as 4 and as late as 31. If he is available when the Lions have their first round pick (somewhere around 18) should they bite? We have seen how explosive the offense is when Swift is on his game, but he is so often off his game, and he is unlikely to make it to a second contract.
