  1. Even that's not accurate. Whether or not it would be an escalation was also something I never addressed. I'll be as plain as possible, you need not infer my position on this at all: I don't think bombing yachts would lead to WW3.
  2. I savagely disregarded your ifs and buts post. I find your hypotheticals to be boring and super unrelated to the issue and hand, so I choose not to consume them. As soon as you start doing that, I stop reading. I pride myself on being an informed consumer. Furthermore, I stopped reading the subsequent post after you baselessly declared that I backed bombing yachts, which was the first sentence. Of course, I never backed bombing yachts, you just made that up. As soon as you start doing that, I stop reading. I really have no time or desire to engage you on your fictional rantings about me. I also stopped reading the post above I quoted after the part I quoted. Because it wasn't that hard to follow what happened in this "discussion" so clearly you're just playing games.
  3. Literally making it up 1 post into a politics fight. Nice work chief.
  4. If we were on the old board, "Why must liberals always scream and jeer" would be bumped with that picture of MTG and Borebert jeering.
  5. lmao I didn't back squat - I disagree with your post that bombing yachts will start WW3 and then savagely disregarded your ifs and buts you posted in defense. As soon as you stated what I backed, I stopped reading because you're already fantasizing what I posted.
  6. yeah sinking yachts is what's going to push it over the edge
  7. this doesn't seem like their first rodeo
  8. that's interesting. They're definitely different countries, just ask Pootin
  9. Zelenskyy is attacking invaders with enthusiasm unknown to mankind
  10. really hope you're right, those are definitely points that strain my metaphor.
  11. I'm really worried. I feel like it's the first quarter of a UofM/OSU game, where Michigan is playin hard, up 7-0, but the game ends up 42-13 OSU. I really hope I'm wrong.
  12. if she buried food in the backyard that would mess up the lawn and we all know the lawn is more important than food.
  13. I had forgotten this.
  14. Glad you just did. Much like how I wouldn't fight Mike Tyson, he doesn't respond to me.
  15. When I get done with that post he'll be wishing I was still asking him what we got out of the summit
  16. Coincidentally I saw this article and thought of you.
  17. Just heard a quote from MTG that Marxism is dividing people by classes. Narrator: Marxism is literally the opposite
  18. OK, yeah I remember some, you jogged my memory - I remember the dudes on the local sports channel were going off about how golf courses were closed and that definitely didn't need to happen. It seemed like there was one point where it was determined that outside activities were actually a good thing. I agree too about certain parts of stores. People working outdoors in any capacity didn't need to be stopped.
  19. Biff do you have some that in hindsight you'd say we didn't need to do? I think there are probably some that aren't coming to my head right now that I'd prolly agree with. I think there were probably some things that were excessive that in hindsight we prolly didn't need to do. We probably all didn't need to watch Tiger King when this all started that's for sure
  20. Weren't there curfews at one point? That doesn't seem applicable to fighting the virus.
  21. I'm not super sure - it's hard to say b/c we knew so little at the time some of the things were happening. Or now we generalize (or maybe over-generalizing) characteristics of the most recent variant onto the past variants. I remember wondering back at the beginning, when SE Michigan, NYC, and some of the west coast were getting crushed, if they weren't different variants at that point. I know this isn't what you were asking, but if someone speculates that we'd be in the place as we are now if we'd done a bunch of crap differently, I can also speculate that we'd be in a different place as we are now if we'd done a bunch of crap differently, and we'd both just be speculating. To me chances are we'd be in a much different place if we behaved differently and speculation parries speculation. Maybe that's just a fancy way of saying "cool predictions of a fake world" bro and also coming up with cool predictions of a fake world. Because cool predictions of a fake world are really easy to do, to me there's not much value in cool predictions of a fake world. We saw countries not do restrictions and they said it was a mistake.
