  1. I think we can win because Woo isn't pitching today. I don't think we will win though because our lack of hitting and inconsistent fielding will show up again. I think this lineup is mentally burnt out an dejected. I think Mize will pitch well, give us 6.5-7 innings, and only give up 2-3 runs total. I think the the bullpen comes in and gives up a few more and the bats let them down again. I think we'll lose 5-2 and head into the offseason.
  2. Facts . . . huh? Yes, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene is right.
  3. I think the Wings will yet again miss the playoffs yet again and that isn't necessarily the worst thing in the world. They are doing what I wanted them to do and that is give the young guys playing time to see what we have. Doing this over giving the washed up veterans, where we already know what we have, unnecessary playing time. So I cannot criticize Yzerman and this coaching staff for that. I was happy as hell to see the likes of Finne and MBN make the roster. So if they miss the playoffs, but the young kids are taking significant steps forward and they get better throughout the season, I'm ok with that. I don't think that any of us could have suffered through another year of bad hockey and missing the playoffs due to the likes of Holl and Gustafsson stinking it up on the roster.
  4. DunyaMD missed entire months of training to work on a Senate campaign. Furthermore, Bush signed up for a 6 year service agreement that required him to complete 48 scheduled inactive-duty training periods every year. He did not complete his full 6 years of service, nor all his required trainings.
  5. Why are the most homophobic and pro family values people always the ones that get outed as gay or bisexual or get caught having a threesome? We get lectured and legally regulated on what is acceptable morality and life values by people like Mr. Schriver, only to have them get caught doing what they are lecturing and legally regulating the rest of us not to do.
  6. Republican President of the United States George WMD. Bush literally lied about his entire military career and no-showed a portion of his service. Let's not forget about Republican Representative Ronny Jackson from Texas. Why do right wingers lie so much about their service?
  7. It's the closest he'll get to the playoffs in the next couple of years.
  8. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-rally-shooter-identified-rcna161757 From the article . . . "Crooks was a registered Republican, according to Pennsylvania voter records." Yes, he may have once donated via Act Blue to Progressive Turn Out Project, but when it came time to register to vote and chose is party registration, he registered as a Republican in the State of Pennsylvania.
  9. Arnold was flagged to be out for a long time. Glad to see that call got overturned and he will not be possibly coming back sooner than expected.
  10. The guy in Butler, PA, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot at the President was a registered Republican there buddy.
  11. If Brad Holmes has had a bad draft class it's 2024. Both of his top two picks have either been injured or have looked mediocre when they did play. With Arnold and Reed out I think it's time to consider making a move. I've wanted a second pass rusher all this time, but it appears more and more than secondary help and CB are the bigger need now.
  12. #bidenwasnotontheflightlogs. Also, many on the left, I certainly said so here, wanted Biden to release the Epstein Files and use the Epstein case politically against Trump to showcase what a creep he is. The candidate I voted for was not on Epstein's flight logs, nor was she his best friend. The candidate you voted for was good friends with a child pedophile and flew on his jet multiple times over the years.
  13. If Comerica is being bought out by 5/3rd Bank then I would presume, as is the case with most mergers and acquisitions, that one brand name will prevail over the other. Also, Cobo Hall was renamed Twin Cities Financial Center after Twin Cities Financial (TCF Bank) bought the naming rights. Then, when Huntington bought Twin Cities Financial, Cobo became Huntington. So I would expect Comerica Park to undergo the same rebranding.
  14. WXYZ Channel 7: 5/3rd Bank to buy Comerica How does everybody feel about the possible new name of the ball park as 5/3rd Park?
  15. It may sound like that. But what they're actually chanting is "Scott Harris should made a trade at the deadline for a right handed bat". It sounds similar to Eugino, so I understand the confusion.
  16. I want to answer this now. First off, I do not think they should have done whatever it takes and compromised their future to build around Tarik Skubal. I did not call for Harris to be reckless and irresponsible with the future of this franchise. I've never called for him to trade any of our top 3-4 prospects like Clark, McGonigle, Briceno, etc. What I did want foremost was for him to adjust the plan he had when he originally came into this organization and accelerate the timeline of his rebuild because he had the single, best starting pitcher in the game. Harris wasn't gifted the 5th, 8th, or 12th best pitcher, he had the very best one. That's something you have to build around. In my mind, building around Skubal meant the following. It meant adding two bats to the heart of this order and it meant adding another starter to this roster via free agency or a trade. Harris did not improve the lineup much at all with acquisitions since he's been the GM. He did improve the starting rotation for sure with the addition of Jack Flaherty and I commend him for it. He's been mostly a plus addition. And Harris was even more shrude for getting something for him and then bringing him back. Second, I wanted him to draft Wyatt Langford in 2023 over Max Clark, as did most fans and people here. This is not a knock on Clark or McGonigle. I'm extremely happy with the players they appear to be developing into. I love the McGonigle pick in particular. But Langford would have been one of my plus bats that I would have added to this lineup. Langford would be here, now, starting on our playoff roster. Third, like many, I wanted an upgrade at third base. Matt Chapman was my original ask of Harris and it appeared Harris didn't attempt to go that route. Now, Chapman wasn't great shakes this year, so it's not like I'd be proven right if he were here and not in SanFran. Harris had no plans or desire to add a third baseman and bat in the 23 offseason because it wasn't apart of his timeline to win apparently. I wanted Bregman this offseason and to Harris' credit, he tried and tried hard to get him. He made what I thought was an aggressive and fair offer for him. The problem is, after making the playoffs last year, Harris had no backup plan to Bregman. No trade options, no free agent bats we were linked to besides Bregman. Nothing. Alright big mouth (calling myself this), who did you want Harris to get if not Bregman? Answer, Willy Adames or Christan Walker. I was on board with Adames in the offseason. As well, I was on board with Walker for the DH slot instead of Keith. I would have split Tork and Keith at 1st. I know Adames didn't have a great year this year with the Giants. However, that doesn't garauntee he would have played as poorly here, under the guidance of AJ and his coaching staff. Maybe he does or doesn't. And I know, he strikes out a lot. But you know who else strikes out a lot, most of Harris' assembled lineup. We don't control the plate like Harris says he wants. We take bad swings at everything and strike out, a lot. So it's not like Adames is deviating much from the lineup Harris is currently fielding. As for the trade deadline, I was critical of Harris and wanted him to do more, even though I expected very little and got little. I wanted a bat of some kind, without breaking the bank. It didn't have to be a RHB, but someone who could help us compete with teams like Seattle and Toronto that we were likely to face in the playoffs. I know we weren't going to build a lineup equivalent to Toronto overnight. I didn't have that expectation. I know Suarez was not a realistic option either given the cost. But you know who could have been, Ryan O’Hearn. The Padres gave up their 6th, 8th, and 16th best prospect to get him. Not a Clark or McGonigle level prospect. O'Hearn DH'ing or playing the outfield would have been a huge addition to this lineup. Let's say was able to make 2 of the 4 moves I mentioned above. We already know one of them could have been made for sure, that's drafting Langford. Let's say drafting Langford and trading for O'Hearn was the move Harris made instead of what he did. What would our 2025 post season lineup look like then? 1st: Torres/2B 2nd: Carpenter/RF 3rd: Langford/LF 4th: Greene/CF 5th: O'Hearn/1B 6th: Torkelson/DH 7th: McKinstrey/3B 8th: Baez/SS 9th: Dingler/C
  17. Damn, Polanco looking like the best hitter in the game tonight.
  18. Yeah, it wouldn't have been the worst idea.
  19. I thought for certain he was going down swinging to a slider low and away.
  20. I don't know what you're speaking of. I love this lineup. Always believed!!! I'll answer back later on this one though.
  21. Just hit a home run here and I'll shut up lol
  22. I agree, it's been recent that they stopped hitting. That doesn't exist Harris for not make some kind of significant addition to this lineup. And given how this lineup collapsed down the stretch, that's all the more reason in my mind to try and inject some life into. Maybe McGonigle comes up and struggles worse than a Prince Fielder World Series appearance and it's all for not. But dang, I just want something to hope for lineup wise.
