  1. Goff is 27 and has played more than fine the last year and a half. I see no reason to replace him if he keeps playing well. In which case we did just draft Hooker to be a backup QB. Unless Hooker ends up being Russel Wilson 2.0, given where we are at right now as a team, I'd have rather used the pick to get a player who could potentially start for us this year.
  2. Remind me again why we drafted Hendon Hooker?
  3. Who do you think will be a surprise cut at training camp? I think Julian Okwara potentially ends up getting cut and won't be on the regular season roster.
  4. San Jose has needed to rebuild for the longest time. To fully complete a rebuild they needed to get out of their high-priced contracts and get draft capital. This is a good deal for them it seems. BTW, I L-O-V-E those new teal jerseys of they have. Those are some of my favorite jerseys in sports. Those and their inaugural teal and silver jerseys.
  5. The Bears success is all entirely on Justin Fields. If he breaks out and is a Lamar Jackson type of player then I think they can give us a run for our money because he'll be a superstar QB. But that requires him to be a much better passer, displaying much more accuracy, awareness, and ability to breakdown a defense than he's ever displayed at any point in his young career. While I think Fields can be a nice player, I don't know that I've seen anything from him yet as a passer and a QB, not just an athlete with the ball in his hands, that really scares me. It also requires their offense to have more balance on the whole and not just him running 40 times per game. They have no running game without Montgomery as Roschon Johnson is an unproven, 4th round rookie and they added no one else in free agency of note. I like DJ Moore as a WR, but am not sold that he'll be a stud playmaker with Fields throwing to him. Both Mooney and Claypool are below average #2 WRs in my view too. Their success is predicated on Fields being some sort of breakout star and being their offense with Moore. While I think their defense improved, it did so at one of the least important positions on the D, the LB spot. While I think Edwards and Edmunds are both really nice players, neither are players that will get after the QB or be lockdowns in coverage. The Bears defense had 20 total sacks as a unit last season. Ngakoue comes in and is instantly their best pass rusher and he had a down year last season himself. They have no one else on their roster even sniff double-digit sack totals. I'm just not afraid of their front 4 and don't think they have much ability to get after or sustain pressure on opposing QBs. I think Goff and other QBs should get decent in the pocket against the Bears. If they had drafted Will Anderson instead of trading back, that would be a different story. But they did not.
  6. You have to feel for Jeff Okudah with this injury and all the bad luck he's had in his career. Hopefully the injury isn't too serious and he can continue his NFL career at some point. All the best to Jeff Okudah.
  7. The hype train has gone way past the statin at this point. I watched the Inside the Den video that MICardinal shared here and man did I get jacked up to see these rookies on the field. I was sour on several of these picks when they happened on draft night, but after watching that, and having faith in this regime, I'm all about it now.
  8. Trump to Howard Stern: You can call my daughter a “piece of ass”
  9. The Hill: Yet another Hunter ‘bombshell’ is a dud I'll say what I have always said, if Joe Biden is provably implicated in business dealings with his son and tried to enrich himself in anyway I think he should be investigated and held to account to the fullest extent of the law. But I keep hearing and seeing things about Burisma, Devon Archer, etc. and have yet to see determinative and definitive evidence that Joe did anything wrong.
  10. Is that hard pass as in you're not interested hard pass or is that hard pass, like the one Trump made towards his daughter Ivanka?
  11. Big Tits Rudy Guliani. Pretty disgusting stuff here from the former Mayor.
  12. I get that Scott Harris might have been screwed over by ERod if and when he changed his mind at the last minute and didn't want to go to LA. That's not on Harris at all and I genuinely feel bad for him. The player has the right to change their mind, but you have to be open and upfront about it. However, what I do believe does fall on him is not having a backup plan/back up team to fall back on. If ERod did veto the trade then what was the the alternate plan for Harris? Has anyone seen a media report about Harris talking with another team, because I have not. That's where I think I have a core problem at having thought about this for the past 12 hours or so. He had to have been negotiating with someone other than the Dodgers no? I guess if he opts in and stays or gives us the chance to trade him in the offseason, then all this bluster and frustration is for not. And if ERod wants to opt in, I think we would all collectively better if he announced his intentions to do so sooner rather than later.
  13. Of course they're indicting many of his followers, they attempted a coup to overthrow the government and overturn the results of the 2020 election. So Trump is right, attempt a coup on your government, and you'll get indicted.
  14. Isn't it Harris fault for allowing himself to be sandbagged? Shouldn't ERod be the first person he talks with to get a clear understanding of where he will and won't go? Isn't that on Harris to do before even considering a call to the Dodgers GM?
  15. I can see the resemblance . . .
  16. Is anyone at all worried that Dombrowski has a history of hyping up his prospects as better than they actually are and bilking other GMs to take them?
  17. Is it wishful thinking on my part to think we could have gotten the Phillies to part with their star prospect OF Justin Crawford?
  18. A dumb team, that makes bad decisions and can't get on base will be a team that takes a smarter approach at the plate and can get on base.
  19. Is this a one for one deal???
  20. Stats for Lee . . 50 FV, OPS .762 in A+, 5 HR, 14 SB
  21. Is Lee a better prospect than OF Justin Crawford?
  22. Isn't that a fake account for Morosi?
  23. When you turn off FM radio (sorry MCS) and ignore mainstream, major label music, there is a whole world of good **** out there. If you are interested in going down musical rabbit holes check out the Alt-Country/Indie Country/Americana/Bluegrass/Roots music spreadsheet I made. I've tried capturing as many quality, good artists and bands as I could that fit into the "country/country-ish" genre. If you haven't ever listened to him, start with an artist named John Moreland if you're looking for something new to listen to. Margo Price is another good starting point. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/0B-IgWUeH-NnVa21zWXUtQ0FMY2M/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106745601695921414018&resourcekey=0-99UB0ZcBlxLpfPm4luJUmg&rtpof=true&sd=true
  24. When I was traveling in Denmark last year it was during HS/primary school graduation season. Many of the newly minted Danish grads would drive around on a bus or back of a truck all day with their friends. They were drinking, eating, listening to loud music, and celebrating graduation all day. Perhaps Sweden has the same or similar traditions. Maybe its a Nordic/Scandinavian thing?
  25. Trump won in 2016 and then got more votes in 2020. He absolutely can win the White House.
