What an ugly, barbaric situation this entire war has turned into. Reports of over 500 dead with the bombing/explosion at the hospital.

Can you make one where the ball goes through DeAndre Swift's hands? Seriously though, these are great!

I want Gym to get it just so I can continue pointing out that the moral majority of America, the party of family values, will have its second Speaker of the House that was involved in the sexual assault of kids and young adults. While I find sexual assault reprehensible, disgusting, and criminal, I enjoy the how moral majority of America is always lecturing people about how their lifestyle is disgusting and degrading the moral fabric of our country, all the while making the person second in-line for the Presidency someone who was accused of covering up sexual assault allegations. It looks like Gym won't get the votes though. So if and when Gym fails, does it go to Patrick McHenry next? Is the MAGA Freedom Caucus willing to vote for McHenry? I wouldn't think so. I don't know a whole lot about McHenry, but he seems like a run of the mill, institutional Republican and not an extreme, burn it all down type of guy.

Week Six: Detroit Lions (4-1) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)

Right now, no matter how good we are playing, the Rams are the winners of that trade. The goal is to win a Super Bowl and be the very best and they did that. Now we just have to get our Super Bowl this year to match it! -
Week Seven: Detroit Lions (5-1) @ Baltimore Ravens (4-2)

I agree with the sentiment that the Ravens aren't quite who we feared they would be at the beginning of the season. Still good, but not great or elite like we worried they might end up. Lamar and the Ravens only have 5 passing TDs and 3 INTs which puts them as the 7th worst team in the league. They are middle in the pack in total yards as well. I know running QBs give us fits on occasion (see Geno Smith) and the Ravens have the very best running QB with 4 rushing TDs this season. But we have been, since the Seattle game, the best team in the league against the run. We can limit Lamar and make him try and beat us with his arm, in passing situation. So why not us? We can for sure go in there and get this thing done, assuming we are a bit healthier this coming week. -

I don't know if the stats exactly back this up, but it feels a little like the Chiefs lack of receiving weapons is finally catching up with them a bit, same as it did in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers had Davante Adams and a collection of nobodies as his WRs. When Adams wasn't in the game or was gone off the team they didn't push the ball downfield nearly as well and I believe their YAC and yards per play went down. The Chiefs don't have any receiving threats outside of Kelce. No defense fears Justin Watson, Kadarius Toney, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Skyy Moore, etc. They lost Tyreek Hill, lost Sammy Watkins, and don't have a lot of great depth to replace those guys and I think it's finally catching up, in some small way. With a special QB like Mahomes, you'll always be favored or in the upper echelon of the NFL because the guy is a GOAT candidate. But when Kelce isn't on the field, I don't know there is anyone people fear lining up out wide. -

Goff was terrible when Anthony Lynn was here as our OC for the first 8 or so games of 2021. Goff looked leaps and bounds better when he had an OC come in that played to his strengths and designed plays that fit what Goff feels comfortable doing. The Head Coach stayed the same during that time period. The OC changed and Goff got markedly better with Johnson calling the plays. -
RIP Florine Mark, founder of Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers ads with Florine Mark are a Detroit thing I remember growing up.

As much as some complain about his second down play calling, and sometimes I believe it leaves something to be desired, stats like this prove his genius. Lots of motion and multiple looks coming in one play design really throw defenses for a loop, make Goff productive, and continue to put points on the board. When is the last time we've scored less than 20 points in a game? -

I was out of the house today and didn't get to watch the game until now. Even banged up like we were today, we controlled the majority of today's game and it wasn't close. A couple of nice catches by Jamo, so I hope this is an upward trend for him from here on out. -
Yeah, we've got 4 on the board but we're really giving ourselves lots of good scoring chances.

I'm really liking the physicality and aggressiveness they are showing in front of the net. Previous years we got muscled off the puck and pushed around in front of the net. It's a very early season, but we have a solid net front presence and we're getting ourselves up for rebounds and second chances. Hopefully this aggressiveness keeps up.

Loving the push up front and offensive aggressiveness. We're creating lots of good scoring opportunities. Love to see this.

What a bounce for a nice goal. WOOOOOOOO!!!!
-
Yes sir. Yelling from section 209, row 7 what a bum Chiarot is lol
-
Of course Chiarot was on the ice for that goal lol
-
Physical play early from the Wings. I didn't see who it was that got knocked clear into the Red Wing bench.
-
Way to start this game!!!
-
Can we trade Chiarot for Matthews straight up?

Couldn't they be primaried for not supporting Trump though and opposing his pick in Jordan? I know it isn't exactly parallel, but look at what happened to Peter Meijer here in Michigan. Now I get that he opposed Trump by supporting impeachment and not just a vote for Speaker, but I could see primary challenges arise against moderates/conservatives who rise up against the freedom caucus folks.

Damn, Gibbs out. We've gotten little out of our two 1st round picks this year this far and that's been one of the low points in an otherwise tremendous season. I know it's early, but these were two guys I expected to come in and contribute right away. It is especially concerning with Gibbs because after this season, we only have four more years left with him since you shouldn't be paying RBs a second contract. -
I'd literally offer them the 3rd round pick and see if they took that. I think this is a bit much for a 29 year old edge rusher. I'd consider bumping that 3rd up to a 2nd. But to give up a 2nd, 3rd, and James Houston is too much value.
