A total fraud that I cannot stand that everyone else seems to like is Stefani Germanotta aka Lady Gaga. I think Germanotta's an above average singer with average pop music. She is not as revolutionary or life changing force as her fans make it out to be. Nor is she some big time activist or wave making artist for change ala a Woody Guthrie, Marvin Gaye, or Loretta Lynn. More than that though, I am turned off by her phony behavior, phony activism, and outlandish behavior that copycats others around her and before her. Germanotta is just a 2000s Madonna wannabe if you ask me with equal or worse music. She tried to say she was some different girl in high school who just didn't fit in and was too weird for her classmates, but that's all manufactured, PR bullshit by her and her marketing team. By all accounts Germanotta was a normal, choir girl in high school. She only became weird and eccentric when she wanted to become a big popstar. Recording artists do weird and eccentric things all the time. KISS, from the conversation above, is one of those artists/bands. But Gene Simmons doesn't try to get you to believe that he really spits blood and fire everywhere he goes. Stefani wants her fans to believe that she really does hatch out of an egg or enjoys wearing a dress made of meat (which she stole from someone else I've ready). I think Lady Gaga, her marketing team, and record label execs have been counting the dollar bills and laughing at all the suckers they've conned into believing she's truly a different person and a revolutionary activist in the music industry. She is neither and is laughing at you with all the money she's made getting you to believe she is truly different.

As a fan who trends towards being overly negative, it's hard to put the SOL mantra on the backburner. Dan Campbell has made decisions this year alone where I find myself screaming SOL in the moment towards Campbell. But the fact of the matter is, that one team, with one set of coaches and players has little relation to teams of the past with different coaches and players. Other than being owned by the Ford Family and called the Detroit Lions, there isn't much in common between a Matt Millen assembled team that is coached by Steve Mariucci and a team assembled by Brad Holmes and coached by Dan Campbell. We all have to take 20-30-40 years of being jaded by losing and SOL and set it aside to judge this team independently and in the moment. And right now, in the moment, they are 6-1 over the last 7 games and are beating some good/winning teams in the process. They are playing good, not great, football on a consistent basis. They have weaknesses for sure and those won't likely be addressed or largely corrected here and now. But the fact that a Steve Mariucci or Wayne Fontes or Jim Schwartz coached team collapsed or underachieved to close out the season or in the playoffs has no bearing on Dan Campbell, this roster, and what they're doing now. Sometimes I enjoy laughing at this franchise and dunking on them. But I enjoy good, winning football even more than that, no matter how much SOL is ingrained inside me. Right now, this team is doing something I thought they couldn't do this year, certainly not after starting a pathetic 1-6, and that is make a real run at the playoffs. So for all my criticisms of Campbell's coaching decisions, him costing us a game here or there, the way the Aubrey Pleasant firing was handled, etc. this team is proving a lot of critics wrong, playing good football, and winning. I'm ready to stop bitching or worrying about them collapsing or screwing up for once and just enjoying what I see. Maybe it will turn out to be SOL in the end and they'll find yet another new way to lose and ruin the fun, knocking themselves out of playoff contention. But I'm tired of looking around every corner for the next SOL moment and waiting for the shoe to drop. Let's fucking go Lions!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Darnold's numbers would look worse than Wilson's but when I looked them up he has an even higher QBR at 47% to Wilson's 42%. The one thing Wilson has to rely on though is a top 5 defense and Darnold does not. So we, Goff, should perform better against a worse Panthers defense and give Daronld less of a cushion to work with.

Sam Darnold is awful, this should be a win for the Lions. I know in the NFL that games are close all the time and upsets happen. But losing to Sam Darnold is not one I think happens. This isn't MNF against the Jets with Patricia as Coach where we make Darnold look like Joe Montana.

Who is an artist or band that everyone else seems to like that you either straight up dislike or don't understand what all the hype is about?

If Green Bay wins the next two games and we do as well, that season finale is going to be insane.

I think Nick Sirianni from the Eagles probably gets it, but Campbell should be in the final 3-4 candidates for the award.

They got him to play largely mistake free football and game manage. While it wasn't sexy and allowed things to stay close throughout, they didn't force Goff to do too much.

Right here, right now . . . Are we making the playoffs? I'm going to say yes. This team has been playing sound, fundamental football on both sides of the ball. I think they're going to do this.
