  1. Because he's going to be the hero and be the one to take it to the house.
  2. A terrible opening drive on both sides of the ball. It's early, so whatever.
  3. I hope ripping his helmet off was worth it and brought him self satisfaction because it just cost them a touchdown. As long as it was worth it for him personally though.
  4. I think the Lions win a tight game and a dog fight today. I think Lions 27 and Packers 21.
  5. Michigan's secondary looks porous early on. Oklahoma's WR just dropped that pass wide open, all on his own. There wasn't a Michigan defender anywhere near him.
  6. What exactly were you going to use that $9 million in cap space for this season? It's only a one year deal, so the $9 million number is meaningless to me. The best GM in the league saw something of value here, so it disappoints me that Roseman got him. Oh well.
  7. Earlier in this thread I said I believed the Lions would go 11-6 and I am still sticking with that belief. I think they will lose a couple of division games this year unlike last season and lose a few of their tougher road games. I think if this defense is as good as they were last season, pre-injuries, and if this offensive line doesn't take a big step back then they can and will make the Super Bowl. I will predict them to make it to the Super Bowl against the Bills and ultimately lose to Buffalo. Week 1: at Green Bay Packers - Win Week 2. vs. Chicago Bears - Win Week 3. at Baltimore Ravens - Loss Week 4. vs. Cleveland Browns - Win Week 5. at Cincinnati Bengals - Win Week 6. at Kansas City Chiefs - Loss Week 7. vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Win Week 8. vs. Minnesota Vikings - Loss Week 9. BYE Week 10. at Washington Commanders - Loss Week 11. at Philadelphia Eagles - Loss Week 12. vs. New York Giants - Win Week 13. vs. Green Bay Packers - Loss Week 14. vs. Dallas Cowboys - Win Week 15. at Los Angeles Rams - Win Week 16. vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - Win Week 17. at Minnesota Vikings - Win Week 18. at Chicago Bears - Win Final Record: 11-6 (Home: 6-2, Road: 5-4, Division: 4-2) Will they win the division? Yes Division rankings: Detroit 11-6, Green Bay 10-7, Minnesota 8-9, Chicago 8-9 Playoffs: 1st Round: Lions vs. LA Rams - Win 2nd Round: Lions vs. Green Bay Packers - Win NFC Championship Game: Lions vs. Washington Commanders - Win Super Bowl - Lions vs. Bills - Loss Super Bowl Winner: Buffalo Bills
  8. Za'Darius Smith has signed a one year, $9 million deal with The Eagles. I wonder what this organization saw or didn't see in Za'Darius Smith during his time here that caused them to not want to resign him? Clearly Howie Roseman and The Eagles staff saw something of value still left in Smith that our organization didn't. Curious as to what that was.
  9. Your premise is shoot first ask questions later. I think that is a very dangerous precedence to et, whether it is over a trunk full of weed or a boat full of drugs. Furthermore, the military didn't know that Iran Air Flight 655 was a passenger jet. They followed your mantra of shoot first and ask questions later and 290 innocent people died.
  10. I'm just applying your logic of vigilante justice here. So my neighbor, in the home right next to me, sold drugs out of his garage (weed before it was legal in Michigan). Could I have just called the police in the city I live in and had them come in blasting in his garage? Since he was technically a drug dealer and since he was breaking a law, would my local PD have been justified to come in blasting and taken him out? If not, why? Could it be because people have due process rights before we just convict them of a crime? Could it be because we are a nation and a people that believe in innocent, until proven guilty? Could it be because they are still human beings and we don't just play Robocop or vigilante justice with people's lives? Also, do you remember when the United States shot down an Iranian passenger airline jet because they thought, had no proof, simply thought it was a military plane? Well the plane they thought was a Iranian military plane was in-fact a passenger plane carrying, Iran Air Flight 655. On the flight were 290 people. Do those people matter? Do their lives matter? This flight, that our government shot down, is why you can't just make assumptions about what is or isn't on a boat or a plane. It's why you have to verify first before taking people's lives.
  11. Trump walked in on underage, teenage girls changing naked at a Miss Teen USA beauty pageant. The fact that you find that acceptable and defend that **** is repulsive. Let's not forget what Trump said about his own daughter on the Howard Stern show too. You're also defending a convicted rapist. You're OK with that too. So let me ask you this, if grab her by the pussy doesn't bother you, if a rape conviction doesn't bother you, if walking in on teenage girls changing doesn't bother you, what exactly bothers you? You have a pretty low moral bar there Bunker.
  12. To be fair, Cowboys ownership is chaotic and emotionally fragile. So it's not like Jerry built a powerhouse of an organization and team that Parsons came in and ruined. Jerry ruined Dallas long before Parsons was even playing college football, let alone in the NFL.
  13. I can't believe this is reality for our third line defense. I also can't believe the official NHL Instagram could ask such a question and include the Red Wings in it.
  14. Some of the world's foremost experts on what does and does not constitute a genocide have come to the conclusion that Netanyahu, the IDF, and Israeli government are engaged in a genocide. Most unbiased people knew this was the case already sadly, this is just further confirmation. Israel crossed the line of reasonable and rightful self defense and retaliation for the October 7th terrorist attacks long ago.
  15. Not that beating New Mexico is some great feat, but seeing this team in firm control early in the first quarter is reassuring.
  16. It doesn't seem like Brad subscribes to the theory of you don't pay running backs a second contract. Especially with elite ones like Gibbs is. So I'm guessing he will get a sizable second contract.
  17. It's not lol. I see Lions fans online and calling in at 97.1 spiking the football as if us winning the division and repeating last years success is a certainty. I do think they'll win the division and I do think they'll be a very good team. But there are fans out there acting as if no one around us got any better.
  18. Lions fans of late seem to have this complex like no one else is getting better but us. As if other teams around us aren't trying or have tried, but aren't improving. This is a massive win for the Packers. Damn, I hate to see this.
  19. I was OK with the Hooker pick when they took him and even mocked him to the Lions, believing if he fell they could trade back and get him. It was a bad pick, Brad's worse thus far I think. In hindsight, if they were always committed to Goff, than the pick doesn't really make a lot of sense. Were they ever really planning on having Hooker start over Goff and let Jared walk at some point? Given how they've valued Goff, that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't know how much of a need we would have had for a guy like Tank Dell at WR, given the we picked Jaemo, but pre-injury, Dell would have been a better pick. Byron Young at DE would have been a better choice too. Kobie Turner at DE and YaYa Diaby would have been better choices as well. So there were guys there that would have clearly been better picks and fit a need this organization had. Brad should get criticism for the pick as he amounted to less than nothing, but not roasted over it because it's not franchise altering.
  20. Is the Ahmed Hassanein iniury that bad and maybe worse than we thought? Has he turned out to be not a cultural fit and they don't want him? Was his preseason hype all fan and media speculation? Why not give him one of the two IR designations? I guess the Lions did something similar with CJ Moore where he got hurt, they cut him, voided his contract, but somehow still got him back. I'm not normally surprised if a 6th round pick doesn't make the team, but Hassanein seemed to have a decent amount of fanfare and hype around him. I guess the organization didn't see him the way fans and the media did.
  21. Do you think they will forfeit a game? 😀
  22. My overall prediction is 11-6. They have a much tougher schedule on paper this year and so record wise I do think they won't repeat the 15-2 success from last year.
  23. Damn, another injury to another really important player. Hopefully it's minor and he come back to practice and doesn't miss any time.
  24. I'm just merely answering the question of what the Bengals are asking for and fleshing out what a Hendrickson scenario could look like. If a team wants Hendrickson, right now the reported asking price is a 1st + a young defensive player. I doubt Holmes would entertain trading for Hendrickson in any scenario, much less one where the Bengals asking price is as high as it is.
