Did they consult the Pussy Committee before making these layoff decisions? And by that I mean, consult the President.

Week Nine: Minnesota Vikings (3-4) @ Detroit Lions (5-2)
Mr.TaterSalad replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
There are no slam dunk wins in the NFL the way there are in college football. That said, this should be a definite win for our Lions. The Vikings have had to QB play all season and I don't think JJ coming off an injury, against this defense, is about to turn into a stud. It should be a TD+ victory for our Lions. -
While I think Trump is worse than Clinton, we can't simply gloss over Bubba's flaws. Whitewater to me is an issue, but certainly not the most glaring issue as it pertains to Clinton. Bubba overseeing the murder and state execution of a mentally disabled man was far worse than Whitewater. What he and the State of Arkansas did to a self-lobotomized, mentally disabled man in Ricky Ray Rector was a disgrace. He was in no way mentally competent or fit to stand trial, let alone be executed and put to death by the state. Another bigger issue than Whitewater is the 1996 DNC Chinagate campaign finance scandal. The fact that the DNC and Clinton campaign were closely tied with people from the Chinese government and then had to give back over $600,000 in illegal campaign finance contributions was awful. Now, I hate Trump as much as the next person. But if it was uncovered that the Trump campaign took illegal campaign funds from foreign governments, people here would be rightly pissed. It would be wrong now and it was wrong back when Al Gore was visiting a California temple of Buddhist monks and obtaining campaign donations from affiliates in the Chinese government. His pardon of Marc Rich is one of the all time, most disgraceful Presidential pardons. To pardon a con artist and a crook like Rich is equivalent to Ford pardoning Nixon. Rich should have spent his remaining years in jail for what he did and Clinton inexplicably wiped it out and no justice was ever served. There is also the fact that three different women accused Bubba of indecent exposure and/or sexual assault. Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, and Paula Jones. Now Willey, I don't think I believe. Her story has changed too many times and one of her key witnesses to the alleged indecent exposure, quickly recanted her statement and I believe perjured herself as well under oath. Broaddrick and Jones am more likely to believe though.

Any idea on the release date of Jake Tapper's next book?

Imagine loving Trump more than your own wife and your own family. I'm unmarried, but I can't imagine taking vows to a person and still supporting the person/s who arrested and detained them. Now imagine having children with that person and still loving Trump more than your own children and the mother of their children. This is exactly what they voted for though.

Imagine being eliminated before the first question is even asked on the game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Also, the cattle people, lol.

Or that they believe Terrion Arnold stinks and they're already migrating him into the Jeff Okudah camp of player.

That's because the wealthy elite and corporate power brokers will do ANYTHING to hold onto their power and wealth. Mamdani represents a fundamental shifting in power away from a small handful of wealthy and well connected individuals, into the hands of everyday people.

Watching Sunday Night Football and the NFL said Jonnu Smith did not make a catch and dropped the 2 point conversion. Yet, the NFL said this was a catch and didn't bother invoking replay assist to review it. I'll be comparing every single play that looks like a catch, but is ruled not a catch for the rest of the year, to this play. The NFL thinks this is a catch, but Jonnu Smith didn't make a football move, so his 2 point conversion was not a catch.

The Pussy Committee? Of course child pervert Donald Trump would be tied in with Jeffery Epstein but also, allegedly, apart of a Pussy Committee to allegedly traffic underage girls for Prince Andrew. This is all per Michael Wolff.

Except when the people of Arizona's 7th Congressional District don't have representation because the person they elected, Adelita Grijalva, isn't being sworn in by Mike Johnson. Of course, she would be a deeding vote on releasing the Epstein Files. So we know why Johnson is not allowing Representative Grijalva to be sworn in. Amazing that any Speaker of the House even has this type of power. Any legislative official, at any level of government, from any political party, should be sworn into office in a timely manner post election.

Inflation is up to 3% and at its highest rate since January. We were told yesterday that Trump killed inflation on everything except beef prices.

Red Wings October 2025 Games Thread
Mr.TaterSalad replied to slothfacekilla's topic in Detroit Red Wings
Whatever good feelings I had about this team from last week are gone now. They looked awful last night and even more dreadful tonight. -
Are the ACA subsidies set to be apart of what they are going to cave on? Did the story mention that?

Inflation and lowering costs for Americans and consumers? Nope! Ensuring Americans get jobs paying livable wages with good benefits? Nope! Building a healthcare plan that lowers costs and ensures universal coverage for Americans? Nope! Protecting our environment and making our air and water cleaner? Nope! Protecting consumers from being ripped off and better regulating corporations and going after predatory businesses? Nope! Building a golden ballroom to self aggrandize and pimp yourself out? Yep! That's the one. That's the priority with all the challenges Americans face today.

Democrats need to take both the House and Senate, along with the Presidency, and make redistricting reform a priority. They need to adopt the gerrymandering reform they failed to get done last time.

I don't generally traffic in conspiracy theories, sports, politics, or otherwise. Occasionally, one pops up that I do believe if there becomes some amount of reasonable evidence to support the theory. One basketball-related conspiracy I believe is that Chris Webber intentionally threw the NCAA Title Game against North Carolina to do a favor for his bookie and handler Ed Martin. I think Webber intentionally tried to travel and then call a timeout when Michigan had none because someone (Martin) had money riding on the game. Money makes the world go round.

Chauncey Billups mobbed up is not something I would have guessed. Live look at Chauncy walking into the lockerroom . . .

He's toast now. There is no way he can make it through a Democratic Primary given the mountain of terrible and ugly this he's said and done. I would imagine there will start to be calls for him to drop out at this point.
-
Does he still have to go through waivers? What's to say someone else can't snap him up? And if he is good, what's to say the league doesn't demand he go to the Chiefs since they clearly want them to win another Super Bowl and not us or anyone else lol.
