    i don't think this is a goal nor would it be difficult. keep him around as depth; maybe he can be the bridge at 3rd to Keith; or release him if Kreidler/Clemens/Other is outperforming him

    I think this is right, minus Victor. Sign one of the 4 free agent SS. Get a bridge to Keith at 3b. Get a RH OF with power thru trade or free agency (though few FA options).

    something else Avila was really bad at. this is just one part, but a big part, of asset management. you have got to know your prospects best. should you keep them or trade them? if DD is doing the trading, assume he gets is right almost all the time, with a few fails, and some absolute steals

"that is ultimately your call to pay him $40M not to play, but I would advise that we move on from him as Miggy is exceedingly unlikely to provide even average production from the DH spot, which can better be used by players who need a rest or are defensively deficient."
