  1. Diamond Sports Group says it has "reached deals on amended telecast rights agreements with the Atlanta Braves, the Detroit Tigers, and the Tampa Bay Rays ... and with the Los Angeles Angels, the Miami Marlins, and the St. Louis Cardinals."
  2. https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2024/11/espn-to-exclusively-present-2025-mlb-opening-day-doubleheader-featuring-both-world-series-champion-los-angeles-dodgers-and-american-league-champion-new-york-yankees/
  3. Until proven otherwise, I don't believe that they are interested in any kind of contractual risk. I expect a medium sized right handed bat acquired via trade and a few starting pitchers on cost controlled deals. I don't think a Skubal window exists for them. It will be 80% about internal development.
  4. Get ready to learn Canadian, eh.
  5. Vogt would seem to be the favorite here.
  6. Good point. Either go full hog on the big guys or sign one and two year deals. On Bregman, I don't see them investing in a 30+ year old guy at the end of his prime.
  7. He would be a salary dump...33 years old and owed $10 million. It wouldn't be like Meadows who had multiple arb years: https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/_/id/21687/yandy-diaz
  8. It's up to Harris to figure out which young players/prospects can be moved to help fill more immediate needs. They're not all going to develop and they all can't play at the same time.
  9. Baez's problem is not the free swinging. His issue is not being to able to hit challenge fastballs in the zone. He will never have good command of the strike zone. When he was younger and had his athletic traits, he could still punish mistakes; Now he can't.
  10. They will give Baez a chance to prove he can get his hip rotation back. But when he doesn't, then that will be it. There's no more forcing him into the lineup as a player you can rely on. They'll give Maeda a shot to do something in spring training. I'm sure leash will be short if he's terrible.
  11. Game 5 will be at 8:08 pm eastern with the Yankees eliminating the Royals.
  12. A game 5 on Saturday night with the cy young winner on the mound with a rested bullpen? I'll take it. These are evenly matched teams and it will come down to a few at-bats in the end. Cleveland did the job tonight.
