Enns will probably be a throw in on a deal for a SP just because he's an arm/body they can put in to a rotation as a #5/6 starter right away to ride out the rest of the season. Teams are going to just want an innings eater/body they can use to cover the games they'd lose in a trade. I think he gets included on any deal for a starter.

I'd give up Jung for Alcanta or Mitch Keller. Wonder if that would be enough.

Seen his name floated around quite a bit. I'd take a chance on him. He had a 60 hit tool coming up through the system. Even if he can up his line to something like .280/.320/.400+ I'd take that. He might be the best defensive 1st basemen in MLB.....

I wonder if our GM has the cajones to make a deal inter division. Some good relievers in the division that could be on the market. Anyone have an idea what a trade would look like for that? Jung for Clase? Would the Indians do that? Would the Tigers? Honestly I don't get why teams hate trading inside their own division. If it makes your team better, do the deal. Hopefully Harrison feels the same way and can convince the Indians or Twins GM of the same.....

Something fun that is specifically for the trade deadline. Feel free to throw out your ideas and share about others trade proposals. I'll start with one to know your thoughts. Tigers Send: Thayron Liranzo, Jace Jung, Dietrich Enns, Jaden Hamm, Franyerber Montilla, and Joseph Montalvo Pirates send: Mitch Keller, David Bednar, Ke'Bryan Hayes Maybe a little steep, but I think that could work. Hesitant to keep Jaden Hamm in but this gives Pirates some younger players to build around. Gives the Tigers a rotation lock, closer, and an upgrade (albeit not that big) at 3B. The Defense upgrade alone though could be +2 wins or so at the hot corner. Thoughts?

I highly doubt River Hamilton will sign unfortunately. If they do, that'd be the coup of the draft. I also worry about Rogers as well as Ryan Hall. Hall and Hamilton will both need to be way over slot to sign...... I'd give us a 10% chance to sign Hamilton though.... 50% for Hall and 20% for Rogers.

If I was Yzerman, I'd offer up my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th rounders every year for a 2nd. Then you're drafting a 1st rounder and two seconds. I thought someone once posted a chart like 95% of the players that hit are 1st and 2nd rounders...... Fill the rest in with UDFA's. I keep seeing reports that people we draft are "below NHL average".... Like, why bother.... The hit rate has got to be astronomically low.

Well said. I think the Lions should be agressive now too if they can. But not having a 3rd next year does hurt. Perhaps they'll trade back in the 1st or 2nd for more draft capital. If Anzolone walks, then we might need some reinforcements anyway.

Baez has a .349 BABIP. I expect him to end around .280 for the year like he has been for the last few years. I don't think his resurgence is real. Man, I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think I am. If a SS gets injured somewhere, I'd try and flip him for a RP right away.

Exactly. Anytime you get rid of a career .400 OBP player, especially if they're on our team, I'm gonna be pissed. Dude gets on base. We don't need to "ask Pete" on this (hopefully you get this joke if you're a true baseball fan). I'll take a DH with a .400 OBP anyday.
