Unfortunately, he is a Boras client and it was reported yesterday the Reds have offered him extensions but they are "far apart" - AKA he wants to test FA. Reds have to build a winner like right now, and this team ain't it.

Fun series this weekend, I honestly cannot believe the Reds came back yesterday. That was either the 1st or 2nd time they have come back from being down after the 6th inning this season.

I think there is going to be a bidding war for Nick Martinez. He is kind of a perfect pitcher for a contending team. He has been very solid as a starter and has back-end of the bullpen relieving experience.

I am going to ask these two on both the reds forum www.redszone.com and here and compare. I will report back. I think the Reds are somewhat keeping their heads above water right now but by the deadline will be solidly out of it. The offense just isn't good enough. The Reds really need OF help, and the Tigers seem to really be lacking in OF prospects (I am not including Clark because I am assuming he is untouchable), so probably not a good fit.
