Legit question. Is this something the DNC is involved with or is it theMaine Democratic Party?
-
I dont understand what “accept” means in this context. I can say I accept or don’t accept it. How does that change anything? What did I do different there? It has no effect on what the voters there will do. They’re not listening to me.
-
Sure but I have no responsibility for that. I’ve never been there and don’t know anybody from there. The local party and politicians and voters decide this. Not us or Schumer or Bernie or Hillary or whoever else. Th voters should know better.

Did anybody here vote for him? This is an issue for Maine voters.

Wyandotte is a great town. My wife works there, my sister lives there, and we visit often. They have a great concert venue, District 142. Smaller than St. Andrews but it's great and a lot of tribute bands play there. Highly recommend.

We should have the military do it like when they knocked down the Saddam statues in Iraq. Let people piss on it for donations to charity.

If only the choice was as easy as support for Israel or dental care. make no mistake. There was rampant anti Semitism after Oct 7. Just as Trump made it ok for the racists here to come out of rne closet, Oct 7 made it ok for anti Semitism to make a return and much of that on the left. I’ve yet to see an Arab or Muslim unconditionally condemn Hamas over Oct 7 without some form of whataboutism or “but….” That’s horrific.

whenever I see conversations like this I think back to the caller into the old WDFN days suggesting the Pistons trade Terry Mills and Lindsey Hunter for Chris Webber. That to me is the gold standard of trade ideas. -

Gardenhire as the Tigers manager was like the gym teacher taking over your algebra class in the middle of May because the teacher had surgery... "ah, just let him do it... nobody's doing anything at this point.... doesn't matter." -
it gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears. I spent Monday watching it all. Rick Beato just went to Toronto and interviewed Geddy and Alex, and their former producer, and also Anika. I can't wait to watch it. I knew she'd do well. They would not have picked her otherwise. The fill on Tom Sawyer is already legendary, Neil said it was the hardest song he played. I'll be seeing them. Maybe both nights.

I was playing on my phone half listening and I heard Jason say “look at that jig” glanced up and yes, that what the closed captioning confirmed. I assume a dance or something? -

I think I was at 3 of them. I remember one, in the early 90s, where everyone stood back for Tram to fist bump him first, then he ducked away and everyone else mobbed him. -

Aug of 88 was an especially hot summer. I remember it well. I played baseball in a travel league and also had soccer practices that started in mid august. It was rough. I had a paper route and recall one day with the headline “104” which was the temp the day before -
They had a beef from his time with the Tigers over some kind of reporting issue, like on vs off the record. Then when he came back he said he wouldn't do a press conference with him in the room. The free press filed a complaint. It was a legit complaint as it violated the CBA. But I think Fenech is kind of a douche. I am still reading his book as I suspect it does have some good stuff in there that's mostly true.

Today is "florida weather". Hot, muggy, with a chance of flash storms. Don't see a washout though. Maybe a delay, especially if there's lightning. -

During filming it wasn’t working and Mull suggested “220/221”. Then Keaton added rne “whatever it takes” Just today I thought of this movie. I took the day off to get a bunch of little things done around the house. Power Wash the siding on the garage, check some gutters down spouts to make sure pine needles didn’t sneak thru the guards, do some caulking, burn some limbs, take down a garden fence, hang some shelving we took down after having painting done…. Trying to decide when I can have a beer or scotch.

Tigers have been in a downward spiral since 2012
oblong replied to UCFKNIGHT's topic in Detroit Tigers
Those teams, I believe, were overrated. The fact they didn’t win it all from 2011-2014 as some travesty is overblown. They were playoff caliber yea but they never even had home field advantage in any series. In 2012 they almost didn’t make the playoffs. Check the standings the final week. It was a lot of fun and a great run and I think 2013 was the year they could have but… oh well. I’m going to be grateful for the good tome -
Yep. I will say when my wife did one of her Marathons in Indianapolis I was surprised what a nice town it was. I’m going back this summer for a concert.
