ChatGPT was free. I paid for one over a year ago. Mindjourney. Mets has one too.
-
And… I kid you not, this was some kind of “butt dial” generator. Somehow when I opened ChatGPT it had this image waiting for me.
-
A friend used it for suggestions to avoid having to pay an ER bill. It came up with great suggestions. Nothing unethical but just what things to ask for before paying, that you are entitled to, and at some point they will just give up.
-
Yep. We had it. Still might. I am going to ask my mom tomorrow. This was what that generation did instead of doom scrolling on their phones.

You are right in learning how is the key. I also use it instead of Google quite a bit but mostly for general knowledge things. With Google I had the benefit of seeing a lot results that I could cross check against each other.

My hope is eventually we learn that the real benefit and use for AI will be in making very difficult things easier. Like complex analysis where humans might be X% accurate but with AI help they can be X + Y accurate. Naturally top management will overreact at first and misuse it before things adjust. I can remember 10 years ago when we all would be owning electric cars and also being shuttled around In autonomous vehicles.

I didn't like them at first but they've grown on me. They wear them every Friday. It's part of the deal. They appear to be popualr as I see the hats and jerseys all over. I, as a 51 year old ,may not be the demographic. My 24 year old son likes them. That's why they do it. And it's a league wide thing so I'm not going to single out the Tigers for a "money grab". They have to compete.

the draft is a crapshoot when it comes to individual players. It's like analyzing blackjack strategy on one particular hand. It's not about the individual in any one year. It's the overall body of work. I'm not saying this to defend anyone in particular. Just that you can't draw a conclusion on someone's success because of one player.

and following up on this more.... the US government also needs Musk b/c he and his companies are contractors... but does Trump care?
-
What does Trump need from Elon? Nothing. He needed his money and whatever else to win the election. He can't run again. He doesn't care if Repbulicans win so he doesn't care of Musk supports them. Elon needs the US Government because he's a major contractor in defense and space and all of that. There's also Tesla to consider. But to what degree does Trump help with that? I don't know the answer.

Too many dems think it's 1993.

I traced Obama's rise to the actress Jeri Ryan. She was married to a guy who was going to run against him in Illinois for Senate. But there was some kind of scandal where they got divorced because she said he wanted her to go to some sex club in Paris, so he dropped out. Bush's rise could be traced to Bud Selig. After Fay Vincent was fired some wanted him to become commissioner. He was also being wooed to run for Governor. It was Bud who was pushing him for Commish but when George asked Vincent (who was a Bush family friend b/c he was a roommate of their uncle) he was told that if Bud was leading it, it was some kind of trap, he wanted the job for himself. So he ran for Governor instead.

yeah they were bad here two years ago. To the point where you shouldn't even be outside. You could smell it. Yesterday it was evident beyond the overcast. It wasn't cloud cover but smoke. They said the air alert would expire at noon but still in the high yellow/orange metric... meaning sensitive people may have issues.

People use "literally" instead of "figuratively" all the time. It bugs me. And they often misuse "Virtually" too.

It all goes back to that bastard creator of The Apprentice. Until then Trump was a washed up guy from the 80's and early 90's that people forgot about. If there wasn't a Hollywood strike that necessitated the creation of more reality TV then he never regains his prominence. No calling into MSNBC and Fox to bitch about Obama. Nobody would have cared what he thought any more than we did David Hasselhoff. That gave him fake legitimacy to low information voters and he geniously tapped into something. I saw a clip with Scaramucci. Trump told him that as a Wall St. Democrat he had it backwards. They were conservative on economic issues but liberal on social issues. The trick is finding middle america where they are more liberal on economic issues (even if they don't call it that) but conservative on social issues. The key was on those economic issues you have to frame it a different way because those people hate liberals but are not educated enough to realize what their economics do for them.

Hopefully they got things out of their system because the Cubs are good. This will be a huge test. People still think its smoke and mirrors with the Tigers despite their record over the last 100+ games.

Did anyone really think he wasn’t in the files?

Reinsdorf beginning the process to sell the Sox to Ishiba. Going to take a piece by piece approach.

I've had some thoughts on that... I mean if you followed wrestling in the 80's like I did Paul Orndorff went back and forth a few times.

Bandstand wouldn't let performers go live. I won't go into background why I have this on my list but the comments on here are hilarious. This -
Looks like it didn't work. Space is hard.

don't the producers of the TV show demand it in some cases? So they don't go off script? It doesn't bother me if they are doing a bunch of other stuff that's part of the presentation. Like if P!nk is flying around on a harness and dancing and all of that, then having backup help so that she can catch her breath.... that's fine. The extra things she does is part of performance art.
