  1. The Tiger's gave him 15 million to practice pitch a whole season. What a gig if your Cobb.
  2. I'd rather it be an actuall injury. That sounds worse.
  3. Same as when the pitcher commits an error they DON'T get an earned run. Stuuupid
  4. I was sorta hoping for an Eovaldi vs. Skubal match-up for entertainment. I'll take a Latz for a better better's win opportunity for the Tiger's.
  5. Texas can be like 100+ in the shade every day of summer. No day games
  6. It's best feature (the DH) is simply it allows older players who cant run or play the field well to stick around and hit. Pretty much the only positive thing. The unions love it.
  7. Anything is better than the ghost runners
  8. That's about it. I didnt do the in depth math. Actually I heard from a few different sorces that they played .500 ball after that huge start. A little over .500 it turns out. Still it goes to show what a big lead can do.
  9. A little factiod. The Mariners swept the Tiger's rigjt after their 35-5 start in 1984. They then proceeded to play .500 ball the resr of the way en route to their W.S. win.
  10. Pitching pitching pitching. And maybe some defense help at 3rd. That is all.
  11. Tiger's out homered by Seatle 15-6 this year. The Mariners scored as much runs in the ninth innings as the Tiger's all series.
  12. Oh, Kahnal or wtf his spelling is special pitch. I think teams are looking for it now.
  13. Almost like they know what's coming
  14. Ouch. Didn't consider we'de be the Mariner's prison bi××× the whole series
  15. Have a feelin' Tiger's will crush it today. But they are reelin' with the pitching. I'm glad they built a huge lead and have a long time to try to mend tgings until Play-Off time.
  16. It could be a good series only to show that we may need a total cleaning of bullpen. The radio guys are building up the Mariners offense but they aren't this good.
  17. Let's just bury this game..er series.. it never happened
  18. It's always about pitching AND defense. This team concerns me more about adding some more BP arms and maybe a good defensive third basemen. Just playing good ball the way they know how to and have been playing. Parker has to get better. He misplayed a ball yesterday. I don't know. I hate seeing games like yesterday. Raliagh guy is a beast.
  19. Tiger's playing like the pre-All-Star blehs. Basking in their 6 selections. Let's get back to that gritty hard working team we know..
  20. Yes. His swing is teetering on Russell Branyan teritory. I mean, extreme upercut in if he makes contact it goes a long way but most of the time it doesn't.
  21. Aren't those 6 out of a hat of 20 or so that you could pick from and not notice the difference. I mean, there's no Alonso or Bonds or Gambini that you can identify with. Edit. Actually Buxton , Raleigh and Acuna Jr. could be HoF guys but it's hard for me to get into this Home Run Derby like in the past.
  22. Why the funky game time?
  23. Speaking of unrelated stats. I was browsing Baseball Reference and was curious to discover Oakland A's great Blue 'Moon' Odom had a higher WAR as a hitter ( 3.4 ) than pitcher ( 2.2 ). I knew he was a good hitting pitcher but thought he had a better pitching career... had some bad seasons I guess..
  24. To be honest I was dead set to see them lose this 1-0. Still would have been happy to see another 1-0 game. Win or lose. Either way the pitching got back to the standards you need for a Championship team this Holiday weekend.
