    he's a more than average streaky hitter. He'll win a game all by himself and then disappear for several games.

    bullpen too short for many extra inning games. But what shouldn't be lost in all the noise at the end is that Holton is either broken or just coming down to earth after a season last year playing over his head. Either way, those are innings we don't have a replacement for if he can't pick it up.

    Hernandez probably looked good because IIRC, he faced 4 right hand hitters. He problem has been that he is being torched by lefthanders - 990 OPS against. He's been decent against RHB (715 OPS against). A pitcher with platoon splits like that is not going to be so attractive with the 3 hitter rule. I assume the brain trust has something in mind for him to throw to LHB.

    but they forecasting rate cuts for the current period they haven't made? The fact they they still think inflation may drop doesn't mean they will cut rates if it doesn't or if employment stays strong. This has been a very conservative, go slow FED group. I don't expect that to change either way.

    It also doesn't hurt that Sal Perez is apparently an absolute salt of the earth guy. You can say it doesn't matter, but it always does.
