  1. Gahhh! Sweeney just a few milliseconds in front of a double.
  2. well, I've been watching baseball a long time, have never seen a 4BB 1 HR night.
  3. I think Freddie Freeman looks better against the LHP than right tonight.
  4. Ibanez is a dollar short tonight.
  5. Unfortunately, Jake has already had his hit for the night
  6. Yeah - if we have clean-up hitter for a few years that would fill what's been a big hole for too long. You keep pinching yourself though -- is it real/sustainable?
  7. man - Ibanez got one to hammer and fouled it off. - then K's 😥
  8. Got the matchup we wanted but Kerry couldn't connect. Looked like he was actually too early - cheating a little maybe.
  9. should've thrown off-speed there. Thought he had him set up for the K.
  10. 90 pitches under stress. Dodgers are going to kill Snell in the first game.
  11. Torkelson has his walks for the month
  12. mistake for the Dodgers - didn't keep Riley at 2nd
  13. Skubal strikes out Muncie but the ump says no. Then gets him anyway
  14. maybe Harris did mean Kreidler was an elite CF? 🤣
  15. Keith in the lineup against Snell is a matter of hope over probabilities. So lets hope
  16. Torkelson not going to get a lot to hit with Margot behind him. At least he recognized that. And Margot gets a hit anyway!
  17. Even the baseball gods can't resist the LA glitz
  18. continue to hate the contact play.
  19. There was a story the other day (ESPN?) about the Royals to the effect that they are working a program to try and improve their pitchers' health - one the things they are pushing is to get their pitchers to use more change of speed to their advantage - i.e. don't throw max effort all the time. I could only think of Skubal as I read that and wished it was something he would do. I've always tended to the belief that one of the reasons JV lasted so long was that he used his top end judiciously early in his career - always a lot of variation within his 4 seam fastball - though in a recent interview I saw, even JV himself has wondered whether he would be able to have the same success pitching the way he did when he came up if were coming up today.
