I disagree.... I think his actions today (reminder: only a 90 day pause, not a full offramp) and the subsequent "victory lap" (ie. the market regaining a portion of the losses he instigated, in manipulated fashion) while keeping the 10% on all the other countries, 25% on steel and aluminum and the 100+% China tariff have moved the Overton window and are not going away. Even if they negatively impact on the economy.

You may be right... I will say the collective freakout about his comments is definitely crap. He can have the same approach while making mechanical tweaks... And I think that's what happened

His stance is noticably different... He was much more upright previously, now he's a bit more hunched over and in a more athletic position before each pitch. I do think the Gleyber Torres signing was a come to Jesus for him... I'm just glad he woke up and appears to be getting there, he's too good a hitter to let go and see blossom somewhere else

To be fair to Shawn Fain, given that none of us new what these tariffs were until Trump ambled out there and held up that board, do we even know how the UAW felt about these tariffs? The policy is disastrous enough, and certainly people didn't consider the word case scenarios enough... but still, nobody knew what the **** he was going to do going into it either.

The stuff like Nintendo delaying pre-orders of the Switch 2 kinda matters here.... this stuff breaks through to everybody.
