  1. First win as a pro... (yes, I know W-L don't matter anymore lol)
  2. What blows my mind is that they havent been shutout the most in the league - the Royals have. (IIRC) The lack of home run ball really hurts... if you're in a situation where you need 8+ hits in a game to score 4 runs on a given night, you aren't gonna score a lot of runs and win many games in this league.
  3. Obvious move. They need to go bold and bring up Reyes or Greene
  4. Happier times 45 mins down I-75
  5. Greene needs to be here tomorrow. Enough already. EDIT: although they will call up Reyes
  6. Quite a slumpbuster for Berrios tonight...
  7. Paredes is doing well? Or does he look less bad than the Tigers?
  8. How many wins would having Isaac Paredes (over Austin Meadows) have given the Tigers this year? Bear in mind that he probably wouldn't have been called up until Candelario's injury? They would still be ****ed, if not worse.
  9. Imagine what he'd be doing in this org. I'd rather have Meadows, and it's not particularly close.
  10. Good for him
  11. They really haven't at all. And they have had two off days this week. The bullpen isn't overworked right now. I get trying to get Elvin through this start w/o a bullpen game, but the beatwriters writing stories about how Rony would be the first guy to lose his spot kinda pisses me off and insults my intelligence given how the other option was caught tipping his pitches and giving up 10 runs last start
  12. They havent had a bullpen day since Elvin's last start. And haven't had many all season.
  13. Jomboy caught Elvin tipping his pitches and put it out there for everyone to see. And then they send him back out there a week later. Just have a damn bullpen day FFS
  14. I honestly am dumbfounded that the Tigers beat writers kept talking about how Rony Garcia was the guy who was gonna lose his spot when Eduardo came back. Really? Jesus
  15. So, when ERod comes back, ElRod needs to go down. Not Rony, ElRod
  16. Totally agree But also, as someone who watches this thing day in and day out, we need to understand that Mize being gone for 12-18 months, while unfortunate, is not the backbreaker that losing Riley Greene or Spencer Torkelson for that length would be.
  17. I hate to give him advice, but he needs to do a little more to promote them.
  18. Beat my expectations, tbh.
  19. I forgot about ERod. The news sucks, but it isn't the end of the world.
  20. I would like to see Avila gone as much as the next guy, but if they have a rotation next year that includes Skubal, Faedo, (EDIT: ERod), Turnbull, Manning, that seems competitive if they can improve the offense The fact that the wheels haven't fallen off the rotation so far gives me some hope they can piece it together without Mize for the next 18 months
  21. Until recently, Faedo was an afterthought, now he seems like a useful piece. Kinda have to let this stuff play out.
  22. Isn't it assumed Turnbull will be back for 2023? With Mize, I assume he'll be back by 24 unless something goes wrong
  23. On the plus side, Faedo doesn't look like a bust at the moment... If Manning comes back, that helps bridge the gap
  24. We will get Turnbull back, which helps. I know people forget he exists, but HR can help fill that hole
