  1. He's also, in his infinite wisdom, continued to wrap himself in a wildly unpopular policy (ie. tariffs) that Americans associate with higher prices on goods. And he continues to double, triple, quadruple down on it... even as SCOTUS seemingly gave him an off-ramp to readjust. He bears a lot of responsibility for how people view his Presidency, even if the reality of inflation and the economy comes with some nuance that isn't necessarily reflected in public opinion. That's just the job
  2. Again, I think there's a difference between simply holding those views and going about your business and, well, whatever the US Men's Hockey team decided to do after their win. In that context, it's not at all surprising people have opinions and are making judgments for better or worse. I don't think it's simply because of the views, but how they have decided to comport themselves.
  3. This is obviously correct just on the level of basic humanity. But again, just on the pure politics, as to the bolded, there is both quantitative and qualitative evidence that the American public doesn't feel "served" by this administration right now. They're like Thelma and Louise driving the convertible off the cliff Suspect that literally nothing about last night changed that. Including whatever little "moment" Holic is going on about from last night.
  4. Is he really representing the majority of Americans in his capacity as President? There has been qualitative and quantitative evidence that his administration's actions, including their murder of two citizens in Minneapolis, have tanked their credibility on this issue. That doesn't even address other issues such as inflation and the economy, where he spent a bunch of time last night telling the American people that everything is great despite all evidence that the American people don't believe it. Or do you just reject that evidence altogether?
  5. I don't know that fans are under any illusions that a lot of professional athletes are MAGA, particularly in baseball and hockey. But there is a difference between simply harboring those views but otherwise going about your work and putting it in people's faces in a high profile way. The US Men's hockey team made a choice by showing up there at the White House and at the Capitol to be used as props for a failing and unpopular President. Particularly after he insulted the women's team. And with that choice, people are going to make judgments on them for better or worse. None of this is particularly surprising
  6. I felt bad for the podium last night... Imagine having that guy holding on to you for dear life for close to two hours...
  7. Optimistic? Hahaha, that's incredible Don't believe your lying eyes folks, Katie Pavlich (who?) says it was "optimistic"
  8. Maybe it's because I don't consume as much news media as I used to / use social media less, but people overrate how important these speeches are and how many people actually watch Further, Donald Trump is the most known figure in politics today and is polarizing beyond belief. Everyone has an opinion on him. The downside to that is that he has a hard floor politically, but the flip side is that his ability to sell those who disapprove of him (which is what he needs to do to help his party) is near impossible at this point.
  9. No, although normies got to see him looking like he drank from the wrong chalice lol
  10. Damn right....
  11. This is correct. And for just about any other politician, sharing something like that would be a career-ender. But for whatever reason, too many people can't call it for what it is when Donald Trump is involved. It's deranged.
  12. Most likely yeah. Think we know what they are *trying* to accomplish here, but have seem really little evidence that what they are trying to accomplish is actually what's going to happen. It's just going to piss people off more in all likelihood (which is a byproduct of how unpopular they've become)
  13. Yeah, the video opens the door to the possibility of premeditation. That makes it way worse...
  14. Gonna guess he'll be acquitted in like five seconds... But still meant to chill any sort of independent journalism
  15. I'm shocked to find that, despite the Mainstream Media bleating about "Trump's softer tone", he hasn't changed his views one iota.
  16. You have any comment on the top advisor to the President of the United States called Alex Pretti a domestic terrorist three days ago, but now says mistakes may have been made? Or are we gonna talk about Chuck's religious views?
  17. She's not wrong. The buck stops with the President.
  18. The murder is obviously the biggest travesty, but I can't get around the constant lying and victim blaming Don't understand how any self-respecting person can trust or believe anything this government says going forward given how they lied through their teeth about Alex Pretti.
  19. Given his heel turn, this is notable
  20. It's totally surprising (in a completely "not surprising at all" kinda way) that our guy Holic cannot address how his parents woke up on a normal Saturday morning and, by the end of the day, had witnessed their son killed and his name slandered and dragged through the mud by this government. The silence kinda says it all One little repost from an organization whose board is stacked with people who owe their jobs to this administration doesn't change how horrific that is. Just as all the Mario Nawfal reposts on many other topics don't change anything either.
  21. And he replaced them with his own cronies. Which is the point... So when they speak, they speak for him. Just as this government spoke for him everytime they have committed an act of violence on the streets of Minneapolis.
