  1. What's this I'm hearing about the Canadian response to Trump's threat of tariffs? They're talking about shutting off energy to Michigan, New York and Minnesota starting in February? Checkmate....your move, Donald.
  2. Lol....it's only been a day. Hurry up, midterms.
  3. What Trump will lead us to;
  4. If he's under contract with the Lions, keep him. He was pretty highly regarded in college until he got hurt. Good backup while he's still signed.
  5. Darnold missed wide open receivers when he scrambled.
  6. To Chicago as a backup? Chicago is committed to Williams. 1-1 picks get multiple years to pass or fail.
  7. Johnson is going to need a very good QB coach on his staff. The whole world knows Williams holds the ball in the pocket longer than any QB in football.
  8. Ben was getting hammered on a thread on Reddit. But I don't care about stranger's opinions, I have my own. And it's basically what you said in this post. I appreciate what he did for our players and offense but it's going to be much different in Chicago. In Detroit, he had the players to execute his offensive plays, very good players. Even if they have 2 good drafts, the Bears would have to hit on multiple positions to get their talent level up and that's just on offense. I'm not sure how their salary cap situation is but again....unless they target the right players, that could set them back. I really would have thought the Bears would have wanted Glenn before Johnson. But whatever, see 'ya.
  9. No, but you can launder money with bitcoin. Big money.
  10. 1st half...Lions up 10-7. 3rd and 1. Interception. Run the ball....
  11. Yeah, we got hot after the trade deadline when we traded all the veteran players. Amazing. But we wouldn't have made the playoffs if the Twins hadn't fell off a cliff. It was a perfect storm.
  12. And I've been saying since last night that the Lions offensive game plan was very poor. Washington was 30th in the league defending the run. We should have run the ball, and then run the ball and then? Run the ball some more. Use the clock to limit our defense being exposed. But whatever, the season is history. Time to look forward.
  13. 1st half...Lions up 10-7, 3rd down and 1. Pass thown, intercepted. Run the ball against a weak run defense. And you answered your own question...why have a WR throw a pass? Especially Jaymo, who always makes questionable decisions? Run the ball...
  14. But the only reason Goff threw those picks is because those pass plays were called against a defense that can't stop the run. And Jaymo throwing into double coverage? Bad play call and design. Jaymo should never be allowed to throw a pass. His ability to make decisions is very questionable.
  15. Agreed. Knowing how bad Washington is against the run screams to keep the ball on the ground. And with our OL, Gibbs could have scored from any position on the field.
  16. I didn't mean to say they're cheap. What I meant is if Skubal keeps refusing to sign an extension, he'll be looking for a $400 million contract. No way will the Tigers sign him for that much. At least, IMO. But I could see him being dealt if he doesn't want an extension to stay here. And Greene? He is a fine player but he also gets injured every season. If he can stay healthy, he'll be in line for a long and huge contract. This is where our scouting and development comes into play. To bring his replacement north.
  17. Calling a pass on 3rd and 1 early in the game was a terrible play call. Having Jaymo throw a pass was another one. Both ended up in interceptions. That's 100% on poor play calling. Remember, Washington is 30th in the league against the run. Should have been a run offense to control the clock and keep their O off the field. Coaching failure...
  18. Detroit area hospitals report a surge of patients with broken legs from jumping off the bandwagon.
  19. Tiger fans need to understand that many of these players who will be earning huge contracts won't be getting them from Detroit. Skubal, Greene and even Carpenter. It's why drafting and developing their replacements is so important. As well as signing "prove it" players on one or two year contracts. I just don't see the Tigers as being a big spender anytime in the near future. And yes, the Javy contract is horrible but I also remember waiting for Miggy's contract to come off the books so we could sign better players. We're still waiting.
  20. Sign Bregman. Or just stash away the money. Fans shouldn't concern themselves with players contracts. If we spend money on this guy and he doesn't work out, we can't afford the next guy? But in reality, we're not signing the next guy anyway. Just money going to the Tigers as more profit.
  21. OK, Scott Harris...the Detroit sports world now is watching and waiting on you to be the light at the end of a dark tunnel. About now would be a very good time to...actually do something. Sign a quality free agent? Make a blockbuster trade? Anything but the continuation of crickets...
  22. With our lack of defense, our offense needed to be nearly perfect. Holding them to a FG was like a stop for us.
  23. Chicago picked the wrong QB. And coach. And GM. And OL. 😅
