  1. He was forced out. MLB decided he sucked. It only took them 7 or 8 years to figure that out.
  2. When they finally lose a game and go back to the traditional uniforms, Vierling will come out in his City Connect uniform. 😆
  3. I use my PC with the app. I can FF it. With my Roku, when I FF it, it skips all the way to live. Makes it possible to rewind it rewatch a play or pitch.
  4. Oh, I agree with it. Just using my perfect hindsight..😅
  5. That makes sense. But it didn't rain.
  6. And I repeat...we call games off because of the forecast, not the actual weather.
  7. It's pretty cloudy out. Better call the games off, it may rain. Games are now called off because of forecasts, not the actual weather. Welcome to the climate change era.
  8. You're almost like....a Strategy Expert! 🤣🤣
  9. 14 miles away and totally dry. Cool but dry.
  10. Blue skies and a dry driveway. I was only kidding, Tigers. It's dry!!
  11. Better call the game, it may rain.
  12. I don't think extras would have been kind to the Tigers. We were already deep into our weak bullpen. That's why I couldn't understand not pinch running for Tork. It was pretty much a no-brainer call. Hinch nobrained it...lol
  13. Naw...extra innings never go that deep anymore. Even 11 innings is rare. In the old days, I would agree.
  14. Ever see Leyland go off on Bonds? I don't think he would tolerate too much misbehaving.
  15. We don't know that they didn't cheat. Sure, they didn't get caught but you never know. Stealing signs was always a part of baseball but some may consider it cheating.
  16. Hinch really escaped fans wrath. Can you imagine if Javy got a hit and Tork got thrown out at home on a bang bang play? Not using a pinch runner was a very lazy piece of managing. Matt V. bailed him out...
  17. Anderson and Leyland were much more established and respected skippers.
  18. I agree 100%. I was always judged by my older brothers behavior. He was a major trouble maker. My problem with Cora is all the runners getting thrown out at home plate, some by a mile. With a team having problems scoring runs, giving away outs sucks.
  19. Oh...ok. That makes sense, the other Cora was Boston manager, right?
  20. But I really think Hinch learned an important lesson from that. He would never put up with that now, I bet. At least, I hope. Hiring Cora really isn't a good look, he was the bench coach in Houston at the time?
  21. What's bad is Toronto screwing up on defense. After the sac bunt, Javy hit a comebacker to the mound. Romano didn't even look at 3rd base. He would have had Tork by a mile. I didn't like the bunt either. After Tork blooped his single, I was calling for a pinch runner. Hinch should have used one, another poor manager decision, IMO.
  22. He attempted a bunt that went foul. The 3rd baseman than played in looking for the bunt. Perez bunted anyway, it was actually a good sac bunt. At least, it got the job done. But he definitely wasn't bunting for a hit...
  23. 3 positions platooned too. That's kind of a lot.
  24. Looking at stats may show some improvements. I don't really study them. I bet their SP is better this year? And the BP is worse? And I would say their defense is better, though I may be wrong in all of these because, like I said, I don't really look at stats. But, IMO, Hinch should be safe. Harris just extended him and I'm sure any problems the Tigers have would be more of a roster construction problem over a manager issue.
  25. Runs scored or allowed will change year to year. Yes, this year is a bit better after this many games but going by wins and losses, it's just about the same. Improving against the AL East should be the goal, last year our record against them was horrible. 5-5 so far? That has to be better than last season, so far.
