Good article this morning in the Free Press about Kreidler. They claim his defense is major league ready. His K rate is way too high but there may be hope for that. Many minor league pitchers don't throw strikes so a free swinger may go after bad pitches. And he's a young player, still learning. It's not like Baez who already has a MLB track record WRT strikeouts. We desperately need a defensive SS who can produce on offense too. But I'm not sure giving 1/4 billion $$ to one player would be a good idea. It really wouldn't surprise me If Avila pulled off a trade for a decent SS. Or if he went with Kreidler. It's a decision I'm glad I don't have to make!
