    I would gladly lose them as free agents if it meant a long playoff run by keeping them. But as of right now, I say trade them.

    He'll pull an Yzerman. Wait for us to lose a couple of games and then just claim we're not serious contenders. Which we aren't. But make the playoffs and anything can happen.

    I don't think he was a media darling. And he did say he would rather have time off instead of going to the All Star Game. Still no excuse, he should be in.

    Of course he did. Nobody wants to take on that contract. Now he can sign for the league minimum and the Tigers have to pick up the rest. I'm not a fan of guaranteed contracts.

    Seattle, at home, fresh from hosting the All Star game? I think Rodriguez will be fine, it's scoring him some runs that concerns me the most. He was a bit rusty his first game back and settled in after a rough start. And I saw the ERA of Lange since, I think it was June 1st. It was close to 10.00. Not going to cut it, use Foley as our closer.

    Lou and Tram shoulda gone in together. Longest DP combo in MLB history and that record prolly won't ever be broken. And Lou's numbers are as good as, or better, than many other 2nd basemen. IMO, which doesn't count, he should have already been in.

    Agreed. But the HOF loses credibility with the all time HR leader and the all time hits leader banned from being inducted.

    Makes sense. Just like early picks get more opportunities that later picks. And new GMs usually prefer their picks over previous front office picks. Tork better figure it out....Harris prolly thinks "I didn't pick him" 😆

    Norm Cash had a TV show on CBC out of Windsor. I still remember the lead in song.....🎶 "I'm a swinger and I will swing, swing, swing." 🎶

    My 2 best memories were the time he hit a ball into the street past the statues. But the very best was his interactions with the young fan in Cleveland who snagged a hot foul ball and was razzing Miggy. Cabrera gave him a bunch of goodies...made a fan for life, probably.

    Yeah, he had TJ surgery. Was originally drafted in a later round by Arizona but decided to go the college route.

    Drafting in MLB is a crapshoot. Skubal was a 9th round pick. Carpenter was a 19th round pick.

    So you would put Keith at 3rd base and Meadows in LF? Bench Baddoo and McKinstry? Also, who would you replace on the 26 man roster? Honest questions...I would rather have these guys playing every day in Toledo. But, that's just my opinion.

    Doesn't Meadows play OF? Who's spot would he take? And I hear Keith has some defensive issues. So they would not only need to out-perform the players they replace but also play at least equal defense.
