My guess would be the boss being cheap...and stupid. The whole team didn't hit last season so Candelario took the blame for everyone. I complained about it during the off-season and early in the season until I was told to give it a rest. But I still think it was a horrible and stupid mistake.
The way the game is going, a SP only have to give you 5 or 6 innings. Teams with the best bullpen are going to win more, if the manager uses them right.
He's, like, our #8 SP on our depth chart. Maybe even ninth. But yeah, he sucked. But it was to one of the best offenses in baseball. Texas is pretty good.....
Good article. I have been saying for a while that pitchers are (were) only conditioned to throw 100 pitches per start. Over that and it really strained their bodies. I was wrong, it's the intensity they throw with. Every pitch has to be max effort now.
If Boyd is out, well be down to 3 starting pitchers. 4 with Manning. Hurry up Skubal and Rodriguez. And we can keep Olson up and send Wentz down to keep him sharp.
True. But it's really hard to give up on a 23 year old. Patience....it's not like he's blocking anyone. Unless they give Maton a 1st baseman glove....lol
