    Highly Inaccurate down field. He's as bad as I remember playing for the Lions.

    Yeah, he didn't carry the team. I wonder why? Not enough talent around him? Bad play calling? We'll see how he does in L.A. He's already 4-1. A win in Seattle too.

    Yeah, I remember playing right field out. Just enough kids to play. Then we would flip for ups, to see which team hit first....lol

    If they nontender him, he's a free agent immediately. And then free to sign with anyone. Some team may come sweeping in.

    But if a team and player go to arbitration and the player wins, does that mean the team has to pay him what the arbitrator decides? I mean, can a team just refuse and release the player?

    I don't agree. Mize, Manning, Alexander and Skubal will be 4 of our SP, if healthy. Sign Verlander for a project and Peralta to be our #5 SP? Our biggest need is a quality SS and maybe another BP arm. Maybe a catcher on a one year contract?

    Yeah, he's a great dude, he really is. But there has to be a business decision made. For about the same price he may want, we can actually get a #5 pitcher. Don't forget, we have some more SP coming up soon and Turnbull coming back, maybe June or July. Sign Petalta? He was better than I thought.

    I don't think the Tigers will sign Boyd. Isn't he eligible for arbitration? What would he cost us? Don't get me wrong, I want him as long as he's healthy. But at what price do you draw the line?

    Very good post and I agree with most of it. But I also think there should be a spot of players not returning. W. Castro..gone. V. Reyes? Gone..And one of either Goodrum or H. Castro...gone.

    Very true. I just don't want to watch baseball in the snow. Build a complex out west and have the playoffs in a neutral site.

    14 team? Are they going to start the season March 1st and play until mid-November? Or shorten the regular season to 140 games?

    Yeah, I can see the Dodgers winning the WC game. But with Hershiser out, I don't see them advancing. And anytime Boston and New York play, anything can happen. Look for a 4 to 4.5 hour game.

    I hope the Lions get a late TD. Lose by 3 points when they should have kicked a FG....twice

    I bet the Lions wish they would have kicked that FG when it was 4th and goal from the 5 yard line. Horrible coaching decision.

    I don't really understand the cap. When you say dead cap space, is that money we don’t have to spend on free agents?

    I think I predicted either 3 or 4 wins. But this game was a loss, I didn't know the Bears would be so bad. I figured a split with them.

    I hate to think this but maybe the Lions won't pick a QB in this seasons draft? Isn't Goff signed for another season? There's just SO many needs...

    No, no excuses. The coaching or medical staff would have caught a problem in practice.

    And he went first overall. Gives me hope the Lions will draft a QB 1st overall.
