  1. Hmmmm, the Twins did honor the 1965 team yesterday, so Kaat and Oliva were there. Molitor was there. Smoltz was in the booth. I wonder if any other former Twins showed up - Mauer, Winfield, Morris, Carew? Not sure. And who knows, Eller and Tarkenton have been known to show up around town.
  2. AJ often says "there's no such thing as an ugly win." That was an ugly win. I'll take it!
  3. Ouch. Now down 3-2. Crazy
  4. Carp in the 19th rd was exceptional.
  5. I agree. I can take light rail there from my home. Used to work downtown and could walk.
  6. Very small sample, but Max Anderson is mashing at Toledo.
  7. Hinch was asked about that and his response was that he likes different arm slots with the bullpen. Chase's is more Kent Tekulve-esque
  8. Big ol downpour that's slowing. Forcast changed to one downpour, then should be ok by game time.
  9. That's Harris' plan, and it appears to be working rather well
  10. Last season Olson did not allow a run in the first inning of his first 22 starts. Tied for 3rd longest in MLB history.
  11. It's raining in South Minneapolis now. Supposed to rain off an on throughout game time, possible thunder and lightning. Likely be a wet one. Hope they get it in
  12. Didn't look like it to me. Not conclusive anyway. Tip of his glove was under the ball from what I saw.
  13. I was not aware that Olson accomished this last season: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1KJBcNM7Gc/
  14. Anyone remember Jim Eisenreich? Dude could hit, but he struggled with Tourette's Syndrome and had pronounced facial and body tics. Riley has a slight tic.
  15. Had to watch with MN feed. They felt the tipped pitch hit the ground. Imho from replay it would not have been overturned. Good to win games like this Maybe Montero can be a pleasant surprise
  16. F, I, double N E, gan spells Finnegan
  17. 67 pitches to his first K. That's the longest he'd gone in his career.
  18. Twins announcer said Skubal's velo is down tonight. Also, just second start of his career without a K through 3 innings. Longest he'd gone this year without a K was 33 pitches. So far he is at 53
  19. Milwaukee is 27-4 in their last 31. Very close to the 84 Tigers 35-5
  20. Baltimore just beat Seattle 5-3. Enns was Baltimore's closer. Yikes
  21. Scherzer just outdueled Boyd 2-1. Both pitched very well.
  22. Rain is still west of Minneapolis. I'm in south mpls and it's overcast, but not wet. I'll link radar. Supposed to be thunder and rain in pockets. Maybe it will miss downtown. Weather | FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul https://share.google/j0hqPQWUyir2HilPS And I am the lone Dutchman here in the Twin Cities. A West Michigan transplant.
  23. Wish they could bump up the start time. Not sure if they get this one in.
