Oh thank God, I just checked my iPhone weather app and there’s a 25% chance of rain at 8 PM and 9 PM. And my yahoo weather app predicts a 51% chance of rain for two hours around game time. Whew, I was worried that the possibility of clear sailing would spell doom.

Partly sunny? Does this mean winter is finally over and the ground hog is scurrying about? And a 7:10 PM start time instead of 6:40 PM?

The first time I watched Napoleon Dynamite I did not get it and I was annoyed because everyone else appeared to get it. Given that I have intimate experience of Southeast Idaho where it was filmed - since my wife grew up there and I’ve spent lots of time there - it shouldn’t have been that much of a stretch for me. I think the innate awkwardness of so many of the characters reminded me more of myself than I was prepared to admit. The faux confidence, and earnestness of so many of them hit too close to home for me. Learning to laugh at myself is a good thing and this film helped me do that. Every time I have re-watched it, I have to pause it because I’m hemorrhaging with laughter and I just can’t take it.

That sounds like something AJ would enforce. Picking your battles carefully instead of having a one-size-fits-all approach.

Have the Tigers become worthy of Joey Cora’s aggressiveness or is he making better choices? I just remember when we used to complain about him and we don’t seem to complain about him anymore.
