Holy heck

A-Rod and Jeter are choosing the Yankees tonight for G-4. Seems probable. It’s hard to believe that the Yankees can completely collapse and not win at least one game. But we’ve seen good teams knocked over by steamrollers before….

Didn’t Judge begin the season slowly? And now here he’s ending the season slowly. It’s actually kind of tragic. And as a spectacle, this series is lacking. The only way for it to be less dramatic is for the Dodgers to win tonight in a blowout and for them to be unable to celebrate in Dodger Stadium where it would be considerably more exciting. That’s three games worth of hoopla and advertising revenue down the drain.

The Yankees stumbling so badly in the World Series brings back bad memories of our last two stumbles in the World Series.

People for whom the World Series is the only baseball they watch in a year are innocently shocked by the inaccuracy of the home plate umpire strike zones. Seeing them talk about it on social media is so cute. It’s almost adorable.

They’re having a conversation about the game, which I find interesting.

I like the Yankees radio crew a ton more. They’re listenable.

I’m listening to the Dodgers radio broadcast and maybe they’re jaded about all of this, but it’s about as interesting as a description of grass growing. I’m just used to Dan creating a sense of atmosphere so I guess I’m spoiled.

The Dodgers did very well by obtaining Freddie Freeman. Wow. He knows how this baseball game thingy works.

I just watched the Commanders Hail Mary pass that defeated Da Bares and it was more than merely amazing. The CBS announcers did not seem to respond to it in a particularly objective manner. But with the quarterback scrambling for what seemed like forever and the ball tipping off the hands of defenders into the arms of the Commanders it was pretty amazing.

Ohtani will play in game #3.

If wins were awarded for something other than points scored, the Titans won this game.

So if we score another touchdown and go for a two point conversion we can break our record. 🙏

Lions recover a fumble as the Titans were almost maybe possibly going to score.

49 points on 168 offensive yards. Wow.

You know nothing can ever compare to the strange psychological and emotional cocktail that was flowing through my veins for our last 50 games of the season. I thought the end of this game was interesting, but I never felt my head was going to explode or rainbows would start shooting out of my rear end to propel me into orbit around the Earth like when the Tigers were rampaging this year.

Game.

This is actually pretty exciting. I still don’t have much skin in this game so whatever happens is fine, although 51% of me is pulling for the Dodgers.

Ohtani hurt his shoulder when he was thrown out stealing a base.

This 4-1 Dodgers lead halfway through the sixth is starting to look real, but I would never count out a New York Yankees team in this situation. I do find myself pulling for LA simply because I have a lot of resentment built up with the Yankees over the years which does not exist with the Dodgers. I also have a lot of friends who are Dodgers fans here in Idaho who, even though of Mexican ancestry, have forgiven the team for the way people were forced out of Chavez Ravine to make room for that stadium. But they have indeed had to think about it.
