  1. I hadn’t checked that or thought of looking, but that makes sense.
  2. So we have Mize and Skubal going in the first two games against the Pirates, but we have TBD against Skenes. It sure would be nice to wrap up the series win in those first two games. The Pirates are decent in run prevention, but not in scoring so the Tigers need to figure out how to score runs against those first two starters who, on the face of it at least, have sub 3.40 ERA’s.
  3. Yeah I got the age wrong there. What I was trying to say is that his girth may be a detriment to his longevity.
  4. So Devers is 32 and he is 6 foot tall and allegedly weighs 235-245 pounds but he looks heavier than that. He strikes me as a guy that could break down sooner rather than later. Not like I’m hoping for this or anything.
  5. Wow, reading the rage of Red Sox fans is pretty intense. Being in the stratosphere of baseball is hard. Lose Mookie Betts, lose Devers. I sure am glad it’s not my problem.
  6. Just as an interesting sidenote, collectively the AL Central has lost 20 games in a row. All five teams are in losing streaks of anywhere from 2 to 6 games, the Tigers having lost only two in a row. And after these two heartbreaking losses, the Tigers still have the best record in baseball.
  7. Are we talking about the Chapman who’s 37 years old?
  8. Red Sox trade Devers to Giants in stunning blockbuster
  9. So we lose a game and our closer. Are we obligated to wait until the last day of the trade deadline?
  10. I stopped watching Vest is hurt?
  11. Not the pitchers and not the defense apparently.
  12. Still Hurter, and he throws it away to first.
  13. Who can we trust not to blow this lead?
  14. Riley double makes it 4-2
  15. C’mon Carp. Do it.
  16. Looks like the ballpark is packed except for the seats behind home plate where the oligarchy could sit if they got around to showing up, but they’re off doing something better today.
