  1. I hope this initial setback makes the stirring come from behind victory all the more tantalizing.
  2. This ump is blind that called strike was a full foot above the strike zone.
  3. I kind of like Parker Meadows leading off. Is Hinch hoping that he’ll get a double and Ibanez or Perez will knock him in?
  4. I remember it too well. Something worth recalling as a warning for sure. The 2006 Tigers, though, were stumbling for much of the last 1/3 of the season. Even though the end of that season was humbling, this club is still ascending. And we now have a more mature version of Nuke LaLoosh. The 2024 Tigers are a tidal wave minutely focused on single games that are like tiny islands in the South Pacific. We bat a 6’ 5” power hitter leadoff. New rules, new ways of managing. If how things “feel” makes a difference this situation feels different.
  5. GO TIGERS! I love my Tigers letter jacket. I wish I could wear it tomorrow to show off, but it was 94° in Boise Idaho today and tomorrow morning, when I go for a walk, it’ll just be too darn hot. This picture is from mid-April two years ago. Winter extends late in Idaho, and summer does as well. GO TIGERS!! This is great!
  6. Yeah, I noticed that was pretty cool.
  7. Let the sunshine Let the sunshine in The sunshine in Come on (the sunshine in) Now everybody, just sing along (let the sunshine) And let the sunshine on in (let the sunshine in) Open up your heart, let it shine on in (the sunshine in) You got to feel it (let the sunshine) You got to feel it (let the sunshine in) Open up your heart and let it shine on in (the sunshine in) Now let me tell you one thing (let the sunshine) I want you to sing along with The 5th Dimension (let the sunshine in) Hey, open up your heart (the sunshine in) Come on! (let the sunshine) And let it shine every day (let the sunshine in)
  8. The earth is about to tilt in its axis.
  9. Zach McKinstry singles on a ground ball to left fielder Christopher Morel. Spencer Torkelson doubles (21) on a ground ball to left fielder Christopher Morel. Zach McKinstry scores.
  10. Will Vest in.
  11. Jobe in the pen warming up.
  12. I sure am glad we have Tyler Holton.
  13. Tork bomb
  14. That’s a tough name to go through childhood with.
  15. Wenceel with a leadoff walk.
  16. More runs would be really, really nice.
  17. According to the graphic on TV Holton on two days rest has pitched 25 innings and allowed absolutely zero earned runs. Of course, this doesn’t count runners already in scoring position I presume.
  18. It’s getting kind of late in the game to bring in Nuke LaLoosh.
  19. That was painful.
  20. Dan was surprised when he was telling us about it
  21. Sunday Charlie Maxwell 97 years old today. Saw him hit home runs in both games of a doubleheader at Comiskey against the Yankees when I was 12 years old and he was of course with the White Sox by then.
  22. Tork again. Tedious.
  23. Wenceel is amazing. Somebody tell me that we’re no longer gonna trade a player like this for some toolsie high school kids that are four years away.
