I sure am glad that the people at the helm of this team have as much intelligence and practical experience as they’ve already demonstrated. Last year, when we all thought they had thrown in the towel and given up, things turned around in a remarkable manner. I don’t know if we can expect lightning to strike twice, but if necessary I’m willing to stand in the rain in open field in my bare feet near a body of water holding a 20 foot metal rod in the air if that’s what it takes.

So 18 days until the trading deadline. I don’t know if the chances of getting a good deal depends on waiting until the last moment or not.

I’m glad I didn’t build my day around this game. I was unable to because I’m blacked out in the Mariners viewing area but instead I took a great walk in the foothills of the Boise Front today at the botanical garden and spent quality time with my son. Hope things get better in the next few days.

Maybe the Mariners are actually good. Maybe they’re starting to peak and baseball hasn’t seen the last of them.

I hate to say it, but Vierling and Meadows are the two black holes at the bottom of the order which last year were four holes so I guess in relation to last year it’s not as bad as it could be, but I was expecting more from these guys.
