Wait for the spinning thing to finish. Get to the menu. Click on the Comerica park picture. Go to the bathroom. Come back and it’s the “pregame”. It started from the beginning. Maybe I missed a question. Go back. Try again. Same thing. Try a third time and find an icon finally to “go live”. Hit the down arrow on your remote and you can pick any inning to start the game at. So if it's in the middle of the 3rd inning, you can start it at the beginning of the inning. Quote

They don't have a deal with Fire stick or anything like that yet? I'll pay monthly because I really don't know what I'll be getting yet. The MLB app works for the Tigers. Does the Fire Stick have that? Quote

oblong Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM Posted Saturday at 09:29 PM Is Fire Stick a proper brand or just a casual name for a Roku type service ? I have a Roku on my office TV and for my outdoor setup when I use that. Quote

I’m the same way. I feel claustrophobic when I use an app to watch sports. Like I am trapped. Movies and such don’t bother me because I’m watching the movie. Sports is more casual. Especially baseball. I’ve had mlb.tv for years and rarely used it because going in and out was just enough hassle to not be worth it. around playoff time I would watch some games. I hope they come up with a resolution for the providers. Quote
Cruzer1 Posted Saturday at 10:05 PM Posted Saturday at 10:05 PM I have to watch with a DVR. Big difference. Quote

Biff Mayhem Posted Saturday at 10:51 PM Posted Saturday at 10:51 PM We have two Samsung tvs and they both have the MLB app. Currently we have ATT air and it does a fine job of streaming while we’re on devices. It’s a little glitchy with the MLB app (it evens out after a bit usually). However, because I think this will be a historic season, I ordered starlink which purportedly has speeds three times faster. Tiger337 Posted yesterday at 02:40 AM Posted yesterday at 02:40 AM I'm the biggest TV dinosaur here. I remember when you could just press a button and start watching TV. It is so much harder today and I don't know what you guys are talking about half the time. I did get roku/youtube last year. I barely know how to use it, but I don't watch tv enough now to justify the cost of DTV or cable. Quote

I don't know what I was doing wrong, but it usually took me a minute or two to get it working with DTV. It seemed like there was a different process every time. A lot of times, it was just a matter of the satellite not working properly or sharing the tv with elderly people who would fiddle around with the remote and the tv itself, but it was rare that I could just turn it on and start watching. I haven't had a smoth experience with any TV in the last 20 years. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Hard to critique it because I am sure they aren't done putting it all together, but I don't miss the betting lines constantly scrolling. The graphics look simple and I love that. Let the game tell the story. And I don't know what has changed, but when it was Fan Duel and Bally's there was a constant problem with the audio going out of synch and being 4-5 seconds ahead of the video. I'd have to exit out and go back in, but it would always happen again. I watched for about an hour and change yesterday and that did not happen, so I hope that continues. One thing that's weird is when you watch older games on cable channels or you tube - in the era before they had the score on the screen (that was a Fox innovation), it's very frustrating. I think the people that replay those games should include an overlay. Just a basic one (Score and Inning or score and quarter/clock) When Fox first got football they made some great changes - like the first down line on the screen was another (some people still think the players can see that). I do wonder if they could actually put a laser line on the field for the players and refs could see where the line actually is. Seems like there could be something electronically they could do that could trigger whether the ball has crossed the line. Quote

If you have a smart phone or an iPad and you have the app on your phone, you can mirror it to your TV if you have a smart TV. It actually works pretty well for other things. Haven’t tried it for this yet though. Quote
