slothfacekilla Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I don't think I recognize the names very much, but I did enjoy the Canadian announcers more when I was up in Winnipeg this year haha. In full transparency I tend to mute and listen to music with all the TNT / ESPN broadcasters so you can take my Bucci feelings with a grain of salt. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I think Kenny Albert is a phenomenal play-by-play hockey voice for TNT. I've always enjoyed his work back when he was on NBC and now on TNT. I think he is the best hockey announcer out there today on TV now that Jim Hughson and Doc Emrick are retired. John Forslund is another strong announcer as well and I've enjoyed his work. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I hate rooting for Florida but I really want the streak of Canada not winning a Cup to continue. 1 Quote
buddha Posted June 5 Posted June 5 brock nelson signs in colorado. if any of you were thinking about him as a potential solution. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Stanley Cup Final Game 1 has been a good, competitive, back and forth game. I expected Florida to come out and dominate similar to how they did in the Carolina series. Not so though. 1 Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Always amazes me when I'm reminded and see Corey Perry still playing in the league. The guy started when I graduated high school in 2005 and is still playing at 40. 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 Kapanen and Bouchard both had individual efforts that would have been highlight reel goals. Quote

Shinzaki Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Given their cap issues...Dallas seems to be a team teetering on the edge of a quick decline. They have a lot of money tied up in a few players Quote

But honestly I can see him being a successful assistant again, he just didn't have the juice to be a head coach for that Wings tenure it seemed like. Quote

How'd that work out? >he just didn't have the juice to be a head coach for that Wings tenure it seemed like. Yup- they did get a big lift when he started, but then they eventually started looking just like the team he took over from Blashill. Edited June 7 by gehringer_2 1 Quote

What a great series so far. And a great night of sports when combined with the Tigers game. Overtime coming up again. Edited June 7 by lordstanley Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Another great game in the Cup Finals. Who is going to blink first tonight in OT? I thought Edmonton was buried when Reinhart got that breakaway but Skinner came up with a big save. I don't think Reinhart got off a particularly good shot though. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Corey Perry is the Robert Horry of the NHL apparently, playing the role of the wiley vet who makes the big shot when needed. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Marchand is such a rat. He's so good, but still a player you love to hate. And tonight he gets the game winner with the puck creeping under Skinner. Quote

Shinzaki Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Marchand driving up his asking price..he would look good alongside Larkin and Raymond Quote
Hongbit Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Florida feeling good getting a split on the road but the Oilers should feel very good at handling the Panthers suffocating forecheck. Quote
