Hongbit Posted September 11 Posted September 11 2 hours ago, Shinzaki said: Pittsburgh might move Sid...what would you give up for him? Sid is only going to a team that is challenging for the cup right now. Pitt won’t trade him to a place he doesn’t want to go. Quote

Shinzaki Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Its more of a thought exercise than an event that could occur. I'd give them a couple of 1sts and MBN Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 12 Posted September 12 If you're giving up all those assets you better be getting McDavid or Draisaitl back in return. To answer my own question, do I want him? Of course. Would I give up what I think it takes to get him? It depends on wat the Wild are asking. I would guess they'd want a top young player + a pair of prospects + a pick. I don't know that it would have to be both of Raymond and Kasper though. Quote
Shinzaki Posted September 12 Posted September 12 two 1sts and MBN for McDavid or Draisitl? Not even close to enough Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 12 Posted September 12 1 hour ago, Shinzaki said: two 1sts and MBN for McDavid or Draisitl? Not even close to enough No, sorry. My post was supposed to have quoted Sloth's post saying Raymond + Kasper + multiple firsts for Kaprizov. The quote didn't come through for some reason. I was saying if we're giving up all those assets in a trade then I want McDavid or Draisitl in return. Without the quote carrying over it looks like I was responding to you, but it was intended for Sloth's post. 1 Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 12 Posted September 12 They just offered him the biggest contract in the league so that's just my rampant speculation of what they would want working off of the Tkachuk deal and adding a bit haha. They obviously see him as a valuable player. It does seem like Kaprizov is a bit injury prone so it'll be fascinating to see how his next contract plays out. Quote

slothfacekilla Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Vegas or Florida if the recent trends hold. Russian players seem to like New York so I think that's a good call there Buddha. Quote
Shinzaki Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Kaprizov signs a record 8 year $136 million deal. $17 million annually for one guy... Quote

Jason_R Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Suddenly 5/$5 million doesn’t seem like a lot of money. Speaking of… what are the odds Compher doesn’t make the team out of camp? McClellan has made some pointed comments about him and Copp. Copp seems to have risen to the challenge but not Compher. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I would be shocked if Compher didn't make the team but he has been skating more with players who seem to be on the bubble so who knows. Quote

Yes, still a lot of money tied up in that contract, and Danielson’s injury now apparently precludes him from stealing a roster spot out of camp. But you get the sense that McClellan doesn’t see Compher as one of his guys. I wonder how that conversation goes with Stevie and Chris Ilitch. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted October 4 Posted October 4 If kids want to play youth hockey in North Texas, you'd better kiss up to the Dallas Stars. Not a good look Quote
slothfacekilla Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I've been loosely following that story, awful look for the Stars. That and private equity is buying up rinks across the US at least, the en****ification of everything continues. Quote
slothfacekilla Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Honestly very shocked, two year extension at $12.5 million per 1 Quote
Shinzaki Posted October 6 Posted October 6 That looks like a massive hometown discount...seems like he wants to win in Edmonton Quote
